Quote:The only delusional person here is you for thinking Caldwell is just going to go back to business as usual. Coughlin has the final say, end of discussion. He will work with Caldwell but has final say, every news media outlet has reported this and its came from the words of Shad Khan. If you cant see there was a changing of the guard, I cant help you. If you truly think Caldwell is still in charge, I cant help you. Caldwell isnt doing the job he once did, thats a fact. He essentially got demoted. Hes going to be right there with Coughlin but Coughlin will have the final say.

Who said that Caldwell wont be working with Coughlin? Not me, all I said was, Coughlin as the final say. Coughlin is essentially the GM. There were changes that happened, the still like Caldwell, and if the team turns around, its not like Coughlin is going to be here that long. Dave will have the final say again when Coughlin steps down, thats if the team doesnt implode again.

Agree to disagree then.
it was also said, that in the event that caldwell and coughlin were of different opinions, there was a process in place and using the process would 99.9% of the time solve the problem but if it did not, THEN Coughlin would make the final decision...That's not the same thing as saying Coughlin can and will make the final decision on anything and everything...There is a huge difference saying what you are saying and what Caldwell and Khan said...You make it sound like Caldwell has nothing to do anymore and has no say in anything anymore

Quote:Thank you. Im really not making this an opinion. People are literally denying facts. Tom is the football operations, Dave essentially got demoted so essentially Dave isnt your GM anymore, though by title he is.
how is it a demotion when he does the exact same thing now as he did before, just with a different person? Before Caldwell reported to Khan, now he reports to Coughlin...Quit making it sound like Caldwell has to ask Coughlin if he can go take a piss...

You are buying every little word hook line and sinker. Did I ever say Caldwell wont have anything to do with the team? No, however, clearly this hire of Coughlin, from all accounts is a move to shake up the front office. This isnt my opinion, this isnt just some theory. Tom Coughlin will have the final say in all personnel decisions, period. That includes, draft, FA, signing players, re signing players, cutting players. He is even influencing coaching decisions, has already rejected Marrone from hiring certain coaches, though I disagree with Coughlin having that authority.

He reported to Khan because Khan was the owner. Caldwell was the football operations up until Monday. He got demoted. Somebody else has the final say for football operations now. Once again, you are denying the facts and reaching to conclusions. Caldwell isnt in charge anymore, fact. Caldwell reports to Coughlin, fact. Coughlin has the final say on all roster moves, fact. Tom Coughlin will work with Dave Caldwell on those roster decisions, fact. Tom Coughlin still has the final say. Fact.

WRONG! Again IDC what your tweets say, Khan and Caldwell said different...Khan has allowed Coughlin to do what he himself has been doing... I'll say it one more time...The question was asked to Caldwell what happens if he and Coughlin do not agree on something...Caldwell answered that there is a process in place that 99.9% of the time will make the decision for them but if it doesn't the .01% THEN Coughlin will have the final say...

Khan is STILL the owner...The only difference is who Caldwell reports to your "FACT" is only partial FACT because you are not including what Khan and Caldwell said about IF Caldwell and Coughlin do not agree on something...

Those are not tweets. Thats NFL.com, NBC, Profootball Talk, and pretty much every news media that wrote about the press conference where it was said that Coughlin was in charge. Also, Caldwell never said that, Khan was asked and he said that Coughlin will have the final say if all 3 dont agree.

You actually think that Coughlin wont be in charge. Hahahahahahahahahahahahah only that .01 percent of the time. Im done arguing with you. Believe what you want.

You are not even getting the quotes right. Caldwell never said that. It was Khan and pretty much everyone but a few message board posters seem to not understand who's in charge now of the personnel decisions. I will agree that Caldwell and Coughlin will work together, but its not going to be what you think its going to be.

Caldwell most certainly DID say that in the interview after the introduction of Marrone and Coughlin watch it and see...You are making it out to mean that Caldwell has nothing to do and makes no decisions anymore...You really need to watch the interviews..Maybe then you would understand

I watched the entire interview live and I know the exact quote you are talking about. It was directed at Shad Khan of the power structure. Coughlin, Caldwell and Marrone, when something isnt agreed upon, Coughlin will have the final say. You are blatantly denying facts now.

Direct Quotes from Khan, Coughlin and Caldwell

*Unclear until this morning was the exact power structure regarding Coughlin and Caldwell, Khan said Thursday that Marrone and Caldwell will report to Coughlin. That means Coughlin will ultimately be the one with the final say on free agents, which players are drafted, etc.

“Obviously, Tom would be making the final decision,” Khan said.

*Khan said Coughlin was not present for interviews with Marrone or the other candidates for the franchise’s head coaching vacancy. Coughlin did tell Khan that Marrone would be one of his top two choice for the job. Khan did not disclose who the other name was but did say it was a candidate that had been interviewed.

*Coughlin said a front office job is the role he “anticipated and wanted” at this point in his career and does not have the desire to coach again.

Quote:yes you are...
You are the one denying facts not me. You just dont want to admit that Tom Coughlin is in charge of the Football Operations now. Now, once you understand that, you can also assume that Caldwell will be learning from Couglin of how to install a better team culture, something he lacked and once the team gets turned around, Caldwell absolutely will be in full control again.

Dave Caldwell absolutely is going to be a big part of this organization now and going forward. NOONE is denying that.

I think y'all are saying the same things...just differently.

I watched the entire press conference. All that says is that they will come to a consensus on decision making but if they dont, Coughlin has the final say. Once again, Tom Coughlin has the final say. You are denying the facts that Tom Coughlin is in charge and that is Caldwells boss, who no longer has full control in the team.

You have denied blatant facts about the power structure now of this team.
