3rd overall pick

I would put Mack in there too, and their is actually a lot of talent in the draft this year We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:This time last year, Geno Smith was a lock for the top pick. Luke Joeckel took over that spot after the 49ers traded Alex Smith to the Chiefs.Of my entire post, you decided to nitpick these two points? Lol... The overall point of my post stands. You are one funny gal, JW. Always bring the lulz, though unintentionally.
I would not put Mack, Matthews or Barr in the level of player of Clowney or Bridgewater.
I know Clowney had a season where effort lacked. But the assumption is that Clowney pretty much mailed it in because he did not want to get hurt and ruin his draft stock. Clowney's ability is off the charts. His ceiling towers over Mack or Barr.
I am surprised that people are surprised by this. This was the best possible draft position we could get since we won 4 games. Washington has been tanking for 3 games now with Cousins, it wasn't like they were gonna win. And Housten wouldn't have less wins than us. Honestly the only thing that could have made it better is if the Texans won today, and flip flopped with the Redskins. Then we would get to see them have to fight with Cleveland over Teddy. That would have been the only better outcome.
Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster The Home Hypnotist! Media on the Brain Link! Quote:Peyton must store oxygen in that forehead of his. Teddy isn't Geno and if you'd watch his game last night and all the ones prior you'd see why he is a lock for #1. He is the best QB prospect since Luck.

By the time we make it to the Draft in April he will be old news (and a very beaten dead horse). Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster The Home Hypnotist! Quote:I would put Mack in there too, and their is actually a lot of talent in the draft this year Yeah possibly though truthfully I haven't seen enough of him to comment, so me calling him not elite is more due to the fact I have seen many of his games not his talent. The point remains the same it seems that every draft we're 'in the worse position' There's butt loads of talent in this draft (I commented on 4 players I believe are sure fire elite talents) but a lot of people can rise up, hell even picking a top WR like Sammy Watkins and taking a qb in the 2nd would be a massive improvement. I have ultimate faith in DC and I think whoever we pick there will be a massive improvement in the jags next year.

Quote:I would not put Mack, Matthews or Barr in the level of player of Clowney or Bridgewater. There's a very very good chance rams take Matthews at 2, considering the falcons will be looking for tackle which means the rams wouldn't be able to trade down much. Don't be suprised if teddy or clowney is there at #3

Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

Quote:I would not put Mack, Matthews or Barr in the level of player of Clowney or Bridgewater. Clowney admitted he was a slacker in practice last year. I am criticizing him for doing it two seasons, not just this one, and the fact that he said it publicly means that news can't be a false report. Gil Brandt said he will need a very tough defensive line coach to succeed in the NFL because of his motivation problem. BTW we also need an OLB. Assuming the Texans and Rams don't pick him, Mack would not be a bad pick if he is a top 5 talent.

I just don't understand everyones love for the caveman. You guys talk like c'lots fans with your praise of the guy. He's nothing special right now. He needs to have a complete team around him to be good. Just like our QB will need. I have hopes that our front office is better than theirs. For crying out loud they gave up their 1st round pick for Trent Richardson (yeah, he scored a TD today, he still was not worth a 1st RD pick), we're not talking about a franchise that is about to build some sort of Patriots like Dynasty. Same with the t'horns. You guys need to calm down a bit. Yes, times are hard right now. But we're not the Jets or the Bills in a league with Brady at the helm, Belicheat at HC, and the Krafts as Owners. If anything, I like our Owner, our GM, and our HC better than the other guys in our division. We have a chance here. It's just gonna take time. Cuz you know... We JUST FINISHED THE FIRST YEAR OF AN ENTIRE OVERHAUL OF THE TEAM. Just a reminder... We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
