Chip Kelly interviewing as OC

Quote:My "sauces" don't talk unfortunately. But my "gut" says Kelly as OC and Hackett as QB coach with a controlled pace system.
Controlled pace system and Kelly don't really go hand in hand.

I've seen Bortles throw spirals.

I've also seen the best QBs get by with ducks.

He's got to find a comfort zone.

Also.. this is directly tied to the wonky arm motion.

If you have seen qbs get by with ducks, they must've been of the upper echelon. Wonky arm motion or not, struggling with spirals is beyond understanding. Careful believing everything they tell you the fan, you will be very upset when you realize the truth.

My bottle of reggae reggae sauce says Jedd Fisch is coming back as screen pass coordinator.

I think that if Kelly was the guy they would have already come to terms and announced it.

I think we have moved on from the Kelly option, probably we'll stay with Hackett or still exploring other yet unknown options.

I would love to have Chip but if I remember correctly Tom is an offensive guru too. I'm sure his hand prints will be all over this offense period

Feels weird knowing that an EVP will be dictating the type of offense we run. What other organizations have this level of control outside the HC? Denver? Dallas?

Except that we don't "know" that at all.  It's speculation.

You don't hire an offensive head coach if you don't believe in his offensive philosophy and have to "dictate" that he do it your way.

Chips interview was shorter than me, having a few drinks. At the local bar.

Not as well as peas and carrots.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.

The height of the conversation was shorter, then a lunch time drive through.

This is what I'm thinking. And I'm ok with that knowing that they are doing their due diligence.

At this point I'd just like an official answer to know who it is going to be.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

@PigskinSnitches

ex #49ers HC Chip Kelly reportedly still in Jacksonville talking to the brass about the OC opening... stay tuned @Jaguars

Don't know how reliable this is so take it for what it's worth.

Quote:In regards to Bortles I believe that we ruined him more then him not being able to compete.

Its his what 4th year? he went through 3 different OC and maybe even 4 now?

It was a curse for him getting drafted by us when he did

Well it seems to me that curse is a 2 way street. If it was a curse for him to be drafted by the Jags, then it is also a curse for the Jags, and their fans, for him to be their QB.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
