3rd overall pick

Yeah I'd say that's Slightly better than a 4th round rookie (Sanders), an UDFA quarterback switch (Brown) , and 2 UDFA waiver pick ups (Taylor and Thomas) Henne still managed 331 yards with that ^ starting line-up of receivers vs. the clots. I'm no Hanne fan and he made some dumb throws, but give him Blackmon and Shorts and that game may have been much closer. (especially if the Jags weren't starting numbers 5 and 7 on the depth chart at OLB)
Yeah i love how TMD thinks TY Hilton is some scrub. Luck has pretty decent weapons actually. He doesnt have a megatron, sure, but to imply he has a worse supporting cast than Chad Henne is laughable/idiotic...but it helps support his agenda

Only good weapons for the colts are Reggie and TY. Both the RBs suck. Allen was good but he got injured. Fleener really isnt anything special.

Quote:Exactly.Oh come on! Don't be so glum. We'll get a good pick, think positive. I believe we're gonna be fine & you'll feel better in time.
Quote: Yeah I'd say that's Slightly better than a 4th round rookie (Sanders), an UDFA quarterback switch (Brown) , and 2 UDFA waiver pick ups (Taylor and Thomas) TMD hated the Ace Sanders pick. TMD thinks Marcedes Lewis is garbage. TMD wanted Darrius Heyward-Bey. TMD wanted Donald Brown. Unless we are discussing who has a better supporting cast, of course. Quote:Yeah i love how TMD thinks TY Hilton is some scrub. Luck has pretty decent weapons actually. He doesnt have a megatron, sure, but to imply he has a worse supporting cast than Chad Henne is laughable/idiotic...but it helps support his agenda I was mad that we he was on the board when we took a punter since we needed a return guy. (He's a great returner but too valuable to the clots to risk injury with Reggie out.) I also started him as my WR#2 today in the championship game in my fantasy league. (it went well for me)
Quote:Not trying to bust your chops, but what changed since Christmas, when you posted this... Not to mention: "If the Jags win Thursday and then proceed to lose the next 3, thus probably missing out on Bridgewater/ Clowney/ Barr etc, while paving the way for the Texans to get one of them, THEN I'm going to be really upset and it will seem pointless to have won this Thursday game" - The Mad Dog "To be honest, I don't want Houston getting Bridgewater, Clowney or Barr." - The Mad Dog "I'd love to see that happen, but do not anticipate Bortles being there by the time the Jags pick in the 2nd round." - The Mad Dog (in response to somebody saying Barr in the 1st and Bortles in the 2nd). If the Jaguars would be picking 4th, Barr would be great value at #3 that the Jaguars screwed up on. Since we are picking #3, Barr is now scrub. TMD-think. Betcha TMD doesnt like our 1st and our 2nd rd picks

Quote:Betcha TMD doesnt like our 1st and our 2nd rd picks Even if it ended up being Carr and Bortles he would complain. He said he would "love for that to happen" and if it actually happened, we'd see his agenda flip faster than his burgers at work.
People who are panicking just don't have a clue. There is a long ways to go before the draft and players can rise and fall. By the time the draft rolls around "the franchise" bridgewater may drop down to a 3rd round grade.
Does anyone remember when Geno Smith was projected to be the #1 overall pick months before the draft? Anyhow you cut it we are picking #3 overall. That gives us a good chance to get elite talent. ![]()
I hope we get Manziel. He has scorched all the sec defenses and if his team actually had a defense they would be in a much better Bowl game right now.
Titansequaltrash aka my mini me. Follows me around like a cute puppy dog.

I'm man enough to admit that. You have been a pleasure to read lately.
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
Quote:Well said! :thumbsup:I can come off a little rude sometimes but I am a straight to the point guy. My opinions may not always be popular but I always have the jaguars best interest in mind ![]() Quote:Well said! :thumbsup:I have to second this. mvp, you have definitely been posting a lot more quality stuff of late. Nice to see. And I share your sentiments regarding all of the hand wringing regarding the draft. The Jags are in a good chance to take a big step forward in this offseason.. Quote:If Bridgewater and Clowney are gone I think we take Manziel. Do or die. I honestly dont think Clowney will be a top 2 pick like he was thought to be earlier this year. Even if he falls to us, I'd be apprehensive about picking him unless Manzeil's measurables and immaturity look to drop him out of the first round. Now Clowney with a first and Manzel with a second? If Clowney is there, take him.
Instead of fighting fire with a less hot fire by drafting an inferior QB. We could have an all-time talent to develop on the line to harass Luck and Bridgewater for the entirety of their careers. If Clowney is not there, then trade down. There are what, 5 first round QBs available? If Clowney is not there and there are no decent trade offers, stay pat and draft a QB. I'm not a huge Bortles or Carr fan, however, so I can understand the angst. I wouldn't mind Manziel.
Quote:Quantity doesnt always equal quality. True, David Caldwell said his plan is build through the draft, which implies he would not trade up for anybody and may want to trade down.
Quote:I hope we get Manziel. He has scorched all the SEC defenses and if his team actually had a defense they would be in a much better Bowl game right now. McCarron has been scorching SEC defenses. What is your point? Stop it with the SEC crap. Playing in that conference has absolutely nothing to do with how good you will be in the NFL. |
