This is why Jags should draft Leonard Fornette..

During their head coaching search, they couldn’t find anyone that believes in quarterback Blake Bortles. So the Jacksonville Jaguars are keeping interim coach Doug Marrone in place. There might be something to this because Bortles played better under him to finish the season.

He threw for over 300 yards in each of the last two games and the Jaguars were 1-1 in them. It took the heroics of Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck to get past the Jaguars in Week 17. So hiring Marrone is is a big help to Bortles, who has a nice cast of receivers to throw to.

But the Jaguars need to help him a little more and a solid running game is a good place to start. Running back Leonard Fournette is a superstar in the NFL the day he signs his contract. At 6’1″, 230 pounds, he is a punishing runner that can make you miss when he wants and has blazing speed.

Opposing defenses will commit eight defenders to the box and leave one-on-ones outside. That’s what Bortles needs as opposing teams didn’t respect the Jaguars running game this year. The Jaguars have a good defense to so a running back like Fournette can do what Ezekiel Elliott did for the Dallas Cowboys.

If we draft Fournette, we better draft some maulers in the middle rounds (2-5)

They told you they couldn't find anybody that believes in Bortles?

I believe in the end, we will draft Fournette. It may not necessarily be what I prefer, but I'd be fine with it. He's a really good player and if he stays healthy, he could take our offense to the next level, as long as we find some O-Line help, which I believe we will.

Good choice. Hope we draft him too! Could be the next Freddie T agreed.

Pretty sure they went with Marrone because he was the best option. Not because no one wanted to work with Blake.

I see your point, but it will only work if we upgrade our offensive line.  Leonard Fournette isn't going anywhere unless he gets some good blocking.

Fournette wasn't even the best RB on LSU.

Ain't down with a RB at 4 but if there is one I'd prefer Cook.

At the end of the day it's gonna be the best player to help Bortles so Fournette is likely as of now.

I think it's going to be Jon Allen but I'd be fine with Fournette

and if we trade down that list opens up even more.

Where do you play Jon Allen. He's not a NT. Do you really take Ngakoue, Fowler or Malik off the field?

Yannick/Abry or Miller/Malik/Allen in base and Yannick/Allen/Malik/Fowler in nickel.
