Quote:Yeah I guess Cook always had shovel hands.

I like the idea of Howard as a player in the NFL just wouldn't take him ahead of those two.

The best comp for him is Martellus Bennett.
martellus isnt as fast as OJ

Yeah OJ is faster than him, Bennett better in the air but other than that they play a similar style.

My boy too. Been saying he's my OL1 for a while now. I'd probably amend that to add Ramcyzk and Lamp (as OG) as the overall tier 1 of OL, but yes he's awesome.

Adam Bisnowaty, the OT out of Pitt, was horrible.  I don't see this guy getting drafted after watching him in multiple 1 on 1 drills.

I'd be surprised if he made it out of the first round. His ability to play OT or OG will be attractive to a lot of teams. I currently have him going to the Packers at the bottom of round 1. They have 3 key offensive linemen up for free agency and it's highly unlikely they keep all of them. Feeney's versatility would be a great fit for Green Bay. I then have OG Forest Lamp going to the Falcons two picks later. I could even see the Patriots possibly taking either Pat Elflein or Ethan Pocic with the final pick in the round, but currently I have them selecting OLB/DE Tim Williams.

Quote:I said it before and I'll say it again, OJ Howard at 4 would be a better pick than Cook or Fournette.

I think that's crazy personally. To each their own I guess.

Total nonsense. Fournette is a top 5 player. Even last year he would have been a top 10 pick. Howard is not even the best player on Alabama's offense.

Quote:Question...apart from blocking, what's the big difference between Jared Cook as a prospect and OJ Howard as a prospect.

I am pretty sure he was referring to Dalvin Cook.

Quote:I'm about to ask the stupidest question in board history.....can juniors that declare early play in the Senior Bowl?

That question is not nearly as stupid as many others that have been asked on this board. Deshaun Watson was the first true junior to be invited. He declined, preferring to prepare for the NFL combine and Tigers pro day.

Agreed. I wouldn't put TE as one of our top 7 needs.

Yeah he was eligible but declined.

I wouldn't either. Even if we did need one, it would make no sense to fill the hole on April 27. This is reportedly a deep TE class.

Quote:It's not going to be rare at all to see Howard going ahead of one or both of them in mocks starting real soon.

No shot, outside of maybe some guys just trying to be contraction, that mocks will show oj howard over fournette.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

I know it's very very unlikely but imagine if we traded down and got Feeney and then in round 2 got Lamp. Our interior OL would be set for a long long time then just sign some guy like JPP in free agency

One guy I have been waiting to see is DE Tanoh Kpassagnon of Villanova. The kid is a physical freak who dominated lower level competition. I've liked him for a while now, but seeing him play against this level of competition is gonna be very telling. I was hoping he'd fall to us in the 5th round, but I think that's definitely not gonna happen now. He's really opening a lot of eyes. I now have him in the bottom of the 3rd round to Atlanta. He reminds me of a much bigger version of Jevon Kearse.

I thought I read where he was the fastest DL at the Senior Bowl. His speed compared to RBs. If that holds up, he ain't lasting until the Fifth.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

There is no reason to trade down. Our roster is almost complete except for the offensive line.
