It kills me seeing Edgerrin James before Freddy. Edge is a great and had great numbers but he wasn't the player Fred was

 

 

Agreed that FT was better than Edge. I sort of have my own gauge on where Fred belongs because I always had him just behind LaDanian Tomlinson. Tomlinson has a clear edge of FT especially with his what he adds to the passing game,...it's no contest really ... but he was never far behind.


 

In a similar manner, I had Jimmy Smith pegged as well. Jimmy is basically just a hair behind Isaac Bruce even though Jimmy always was the Jaguars #1 while Bruce for a time was #2 behind Holt. Still, there's a bit that gives Bruce the edge. That said, one player I clearly identified Jimmy as flat out better than was Eric Moulds.


 

With Boselli, the ranking gets much, much easier because he's the #1 OL in league history in my book.

The "fan vote" for the HOF has nothing to do with who is selected unlike the "fan vote" for the Pro Bowl.  That's why the Pro Bowl is so irrelevant.

If he weren't injured, they would have found a way to keep him. Franchise left tackles don't exactly grow on trees!

I was very disappointed he left the Jaguars that way - going to a future division rival and ending his career on injured reserve.

Think about this: Has any LT never had injuries throughout his NFL career? Maybe one who played before my time, when players were slower and smaller and did not hit as hard.
