Boselli a HOF finalist! - merged

Quote:It kills me seeing Edgerrin James before Freddy. Edge is a great and had great numbers but he wasn't the player Fred was Agreed that FT was better than Edge. I sort of have my own gauge on where Fred belongs because I always had him just behind LaDanian Tomlinson. Tomlinson has a clear edge of FT especially with his what he adds to the passing game,...it's no contest really ... but he was never far behind. In a similar manner, I had Jimmy Smith pegged as well. Jimmy is basically just a hair behind Isaac Bruce even though Jimmy always was the Jaguars #1 while Bruce for a time was #2 behind Holt. Still, there's a bit that gives Bruce the edge. That said, one player I clearly identified Jimmy as flat out better than was Eric Moulds. With Boselli, the ranking gets much, much easier because he's the #1 OL in league history in my book.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
Skip to the last minute and wait for the last line from TC. Classic. The whole thing is a good listen and good tribute to Boselli.

Quote:I hope you know that you are wasting your time with the fan vote. Another "loves to be negative about the Jaguars" post just like so many people do here. There is no excuse for not voting.
Quote:Another "loves to be negative about the Jaguars" post just like so many people do here. There is no excuse for not voting. The "fan vote" for the HOF has nothing to do with who is selected unlike the "fan vote" for the Pro Bowl. That's why the Pro Bowl is so irrelevant. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Here's an interesting question: if Tony had never been injured, would the Jags have offered him up in the expansion draft? They were desperate to get under the salary cap in those days.

Quote:Here's an interesting question: if Tony had never been injured, would the Jags have offered him up in the expansion draft? They were desperate to get under the salary cap in those days. Definitely not. "Never" would include his entire career, not just the end. What I want to know is why did we let the Texans draft Tony Boselli instead of simply cut him with an injury designation? "You do your own thing in your own time. You should be proud."
Quote:Salary cap Right. Under the expansion draft, the Texans took his salary off the books for the Jags. I remember Boselli was very angry about it. Quote:Right. I was very disappointed he left the Jaguars that way - going to a future division rival and ending his career on injured reserve. We show less advertisements to registered users. It's crazy to think that if Tony didn't have injury problems he could've played till 2007 or 2008.
Imagine him playing LT during our 05 and 07 playoff runs.
Quote:It's crazy to think that if Tony didn't have injury problems he could've played till 2007 or 2008. Think about this: Has any LT never had injuries throughout his NFL career? Maybe one who played before my time, when players were slower and smaller and did not hit as hard.
Jason Taylor on fellow Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist Tony Boselli: "Boselli beat me down on a Monday night. An epic beatdown. Surprising it didn't knock me into retirement."

Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.
