Myles Garrett not attending draft

#1

The Browns have probably already told him he's the number 1 pick then.

Most people still go for the novelty of being drafted #1.

Personally, if I were him, I wouldn't go to the combine either.

Unless we hear another reason, this is what I would assume.

He's coming across pretty unprofessional. It seems like he is just butt hurt that Cleveland is going to take him. I get it that Cleveland sucks but suck it up. The top prospects always go to poor teams, this isn't new.

Call me old fashioned, but I don't give a flip who is "attending the draft."

I wouldn't draft him in the first or second round based on this. Totally unprofessional... If he skips the draft then how do you know he won't skip games or the playoffs??????

My take as well. If the guy can play ball and isn't a shmuck, I don't care what he skips as long as he shows up for the mandatory stuff and shows up on Sundays.

Garrett just pleaded with the cowboys to trade Romo to move up and draft him. Wow.

Maybe it hurts his stock enough for him to slide to 4 haha
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Going to the NFL draft, if you're invited, is just one of those things you just need to do.

If he's asking teams to trade up for him, he's throwing up some flags. Seems like he isn't very mature. Personally, I don't see the appeal of Garrett. I wouldn't take him that high anyway.

Don't make him sound like he's some world beater type of prospect.

He's no Clowney/Mack/Miller/etc coming out of college.

Better than Mack coming out of college. A hair below Clowney and Miller.

More like better than Clowney and a hair below Mack and Miller. Clowney is really good, but even looking at his college cutups and test results you could tell he was a linear athlete that will live through the B gap and not the C gap...which he has done well. Just not as good as Mack and Miller who can do it all.
