Lol at Carr being the first player in the draft taken. I can only hope that happens.

I just rewatched some tape on him. If he can clean up his footwork and mechanics he could be very good. Most of his misses are when he thinks he can just arm the ball. Not going to be able to get away with that in the NFL. His accuracy takes a big drop in a condensed pocket, but its hard to find guys who dont have that problem.

 

Im starting to get back on his bandwagon, as I can see the potential is there. Dave and Gus will be able to coach him at the Sr Bowl too, so if they do choose him Im sure its because they are really confident his issues can be fixed.

not sure if youve heard of the senior bowl, but basically its a better measuring stick since he'll be working with nfl caliber players and also playing against them, not to mention he'll be in a pro style offense.

You think the Senior Bowl is a joke? Thats when the best go up against the best. All competing for millions of dollars (their draft stock). Yes there is no pass rush in drills, which dont really mean much. But the game is a big evaluation tool. It cant change a prospects entire stock, but it is part of the puzzle.

Most of what people get at the Senior Bowl is FROM THE DRILLS. This is why it is notorious for the majority of scouts and GMs to actually leave the day before the game. Carr will get very little time in the actual game. The game is not a big evaluation tool. I have no idea why you think it is.

I started watching draftbreakdowns videos of the Qb and so far out of the 3 qbs i watched Carr is literally the only one i have turned off the game from boredom. He seems stiff to to me, worries so much about his feet that he doesn't focus on the pass. Cant avoid the Rush to save his life he will need good lineman even with his quick release. He  has more then adequate arm strength but hes so/so with his accuracy. Sometimes he makes you go wow then for the next 3 to 4 plays its just wth man why are you doing that. I wouldn't want to take him personally till at-least the 2nd round and even then i would want to trade down before taking him.

I don't see him being taken before the 5th. With the Carr bloodline, that is worth 3 rounds of slippage alone.

Senior bowl is much like the probowl....no blitzing...vanilla schemes...guys who have never played together coming from dozens of different systems. ...yeah....joke fits the bill
