Jimmy Garoppolo

I don't think he will be drafted.  He plays in a spread, and his arm strength and throwing motion is not ideal.  He reminds me a little bit of Philip Rivers but with more mobility but less arm strength.

woah dont get offended.  i know you are his #1 fan and all, but he plays in a spread offense in the FCS and his arm is not all that great.

No.

Jimmy Garoppolo sounds like either a kid that grew up in the neighborhood with Martin Scorcese. Maybe his dad owned a bakery or cheese shop on 32nd street. Not sure whatever happened to that kid. Or sounds like a little like a scrappy middleweight boxer from the 50's/60's. Had his one shot against Floyd Patterson but got knocked out in three rounds.

Yes, those above, or he sounds like someone who should be anchoring the 6 O'clock news.

I'm climbing aboard the Jimmy G train. I've been watching a lot of him and would be thrilled if our draft looked like Barr-round 1, Stork-round 2, Jimmy G-round 3.

Undrafted free agent. Not worth a draft pick.

If we miss out on the big 3 of Teddy, Carr, and Bortles then Garoppolo and Brett Smith are the only two later QBs who would satisfy me.

Lol ok. Watched afew of his cut up from that one website. Won't get drafted. Water pistol for an arm.

Talk about QB purgatory.

No way he goes undrafted. 3rd rounder easily at the moment. I'd grade him just over Boyd right now.

Water pistol compared to Carr or Mettenberger perhaps...but compared to everyone else in the draft it's equal or better. Perhaps you are confusing deep ball accuracy (which he does have some problems with) with arm strength, because he has more than enough velocity...definitely more than guys like Manziel/Murray/Boyd/McCarron/etc.

I'd take him. Don't think he'd be ready for a week 1 start but I think he could be one of the better QBs from the draft.

Absolutely. I would grade Jimmy as a strong day 2 prospect, and Boyd isn't a top 100 prospect to me.

Not confusing the two. You are not the only one who pays attention to people who are coming out. I'd take Boyd, and Manziel all day over Jimmy G. Not that I'm against him. I'm just saying if I were drafting, I am not using a draft pick on him. Maybe if I had an extra 5 th rounder I would. But nothing higher than that.

Where would you rank Boyd?

4th round is this guy's ceiling.

Jimmy G = Matt Scott 2.0

I just don't see it with this guy. If he wasn't already ranked as a draftable prospect, I doubt many people would have thought much of him. Looks like a late round career backup at best.

I mean he is right around 100 to me, late round 3/early round 4. I wouldn't be happy with him with our pick int he 60s (I wouldn't really be mad either), but if we snagged him w/ our 4th rounder that's right round 100 then that'd be perfectly fine.
