Hes expected to be cut. Let him compete for starting job, which he will win. Instant upgrade over Bortles and then Cut Henne.

The Jags will regret it if they dont.

I don't think he's coming here no matter what we offer to him on the table. I actually believe he wants to play for a title. He's more than likely going to end up in Denver, Houston or Arizona for a two year deal.

NFL at Large is the spot for this redundant thread

I figured you would be the one to eventually drop the news and start the talk.  I personally want to let Blake face REAL competition, i just don't think injury prone ROMO is the best person for the job.  If healthy, its a no brainer; but if not, its a waste unless we can get him on the cheap due to injury concerns.  IDK though, IDK.

What makes you think he would want to sign here?

Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.

I actually agree with you. May sort out the Oline before it though or its fairly pointless.

Highly unlikely it will happen.

Romo would make this offense flourish. He is better than Bortles and its not close.

Then we have Bortles. Its worth a chance. Hes an upgrade that can make this offense roll.

Give him a two year deal and front load it.

Best case scenario, Romo stays healthy, gives us proper QB play and leads us to our first winning season in years.

Worst case scenario, Romo starts, gets injured, Bortles starts instead but plays like last year and we suck again. Can trade Romo for a pick afterwards and get searching for a new QB

There's the hangup.

He's going to want a ring, only has a couple years or so to get one, and preferably not as a backup.

It would be a stupid move and I'd immediately begin to question the front office.

What WE want doesn't matter... it's not all about you.  This is about Romo and what ROMO wants.

When Romo signs with Houston and he picks us apart, we will revisit this remark.

Yawn.

How many games has Romo played the last two years?

When was the last time you saw him play?

Yet...somehow...you're sure a 37-year old quarterback that has had two serious back surgeries in the last three years is an immediate upgrade.  Brilliant.
