Can We All Agree?

Quote:If your suggestion was for a trade that does not drop us out of the top 10, I would be more open to the idea. Lol so stupid. You're incredible.

Garrett, Allen, Adams, and Thomas (assuming he blows it up at the combine, which I think he will) are the only 4 players I would consider elite in this draft class and would be worthy of pick #4. If Hooker didnt have his surgery I would include him too. I think it is best for us to stay put and take one of these players unless we get an offer that is just too good to pass up, which I dont believe will happen.
Quote:LOL so stupid. You're incredible. Why? I have seen what the Browns do every year. They miss out on many great players by trading down, down, down until those guys are no longer available.
Quote:That it is time to trade down for once! We need to accumulate more talent all over the field and find guys who will truly make an impact. Why would we trade out of a spot if a qb is available that is worth picking at 4?

Quote:Why would we trade out of a spot if a qb is available that is worth picking at 4? If you have been paying attention, you know: 1. Brandon Allen was drafted last year. 2. Chad Henne was recently re-signed. 3. "Blake Bortles is our quarterback." 4. No QB prospects are top 10 quality. 5. We need to upgrade other positions.
Quote:Why would we trade out of a spot if a qb is available that is worth picking at 4? To gain more assets and opportunities of adding more talent all around the roster.. The Jaguars are going with Bortles for at least one more season. If a team wants to throw the load at us and get their guy then we should jump all over that. I'd like to see us do that one time.

My list also includes fournette with Thomas on the fringe. I wouldn't be mad with a trade down but I think fournette might help our team the most barring a great offer.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster The Home Hypnotist! Media on the Brain Link! Quote:Peyton must store oxygen in that forehead of his. This was Genes mistake, he didn't take the SF deal, and if he had he could have traded down again from their spot and we would have gotten a better haul. Seems like teams don't like to trade till the 10th pick or so, so move down to where the actions happening, and pick up another pick. Quote:Elliott wasn't worth a top five pick for the Cowboys? Many would say "no." The argument is that they could have a 3rd round back behind that O-Line that would still rack up 1400 yards conceivably and could have taken an impact defensive player like Ramsey with that pick. Quote:To gain more assets and opportunities of adding more talent all around the roster.. Yeah but my point is... if there is a guy worth trading up for, then then we have the ability to draft that person. Unless some team madly falls in love with someone that's not even close to worth it.... but if it's a top 10 talent at QB - then we will pick him, because we're just as qb needy as any team in the league.

Quote:If you have been paying attention, you know:The rare post of yours that both makes sense AND I agree with. Quote:Elliott wasn't worth a top five pick for the Cowboys? I'm not going to say he wasn't.... BUT Quote:Many would say "no."this point here... imagine if Ramsey had been on their D which was ultimately their downfall. Or maybe they take a pass rusher there instead, since they really needed those too. Over the last decade or so we've seen RBs from every round be successful for a year or two here and there and behind Dallas' Oline DMac had his best season... and they had Alfred Morris. My guess is that the duo could've hit 1400... I also think Dak was obviously the better "value" and probably more valuable to the team. However back on the other coin... I have no doubt Zeke will be very good for a long while. Quote:Yeah but my point is... if there is a guy worth trading up for, then then we have the ability to draft that person. Not worth top 10 selection. Watson, very debatable about his draft position... I say not top ten, others disagree... Kizer??? We're not selecting a QB... in the first 3 rounds.... that's my bet. Quote:Last seasons 3 wins disagree with you. The number of wins any given year does not mean we have to start all over again. We needed new coaches and got them.
Quote:Trubisky, 1 year starter for NC?I agree. Which is why the whole "trade down with someone who wants our spot to draft a qb" makes no sense

Quote:If you have been paying attention, you know: 1,2,3,5 are completely irrelevant. Number 4 I actually agree with, which brings me to my question again. Why would anyone trade up for a QB with us? It's not gonna happen. And if there were WAS some great qb prospect.... we would've smart by picking him.
