I thought he was more highly regarded. He can play both guard and center and seems like he could be a day 1 starter with the versatility the Jaguars could use.
Just did this one:

Elflein is the best Center to enter the draft since Travis Fredrick. Teams like Cincinnati, Cleveland, Washington and New England could really use a Center of his talents and the Jets just cut Nick Mangold today, so they might be in the market as well. I can't see him getting passed the Pats in round 2. He seems like a Belichek kinda guy. Quote:He's not gonna be there that late. Elflein is the best Center to enter the draft since Travis Fredrick. Quote:Just did this one: This draft would actually wind up being really good but so many things would need to fall in place right for it to happen.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Round-1 - Jon Allen Dline Alabama
Round-2 - Taylor Moton OT/G Western Michigan Round-3 - Samaje Perine RB Oklahoma Round-4 - Josh Jones SS N.C. State Round-5 - Michael Roberts TE Toledo Round-6 - Freddie Stevenson FB FSU
Quote:Ryan Kelly last year was a better center coming out than Elfein. No. Not even close.
Quote:Kelly was so good he was drafted #18. Elfein won't sniff that. I'm starting to question how much of these guys you have actually watched. Just because Kelly might be drafted higher, doesn't mean he'll be a better pro. If that was the case, Jared Goff would be better than Tom Brady. Elflein may not get drafted as high, but will be a better pro. Mark it down. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Elflein may not get drafted as high, but will be a better pro. Mark it down. No that's just an example of how the league views them as center prospects in two really strong drafts. The on field play in college is what shows it. Quote:This draft would actually wind up being really good but so many things would need to fall in place right for it to happen. Agreed. I was surprised that Demarcus Walker and Joe Mixon were even on the board still in RD4 & RD5. Seems more likely Walker goes somewhere in day two at the minimum and shouldn't make it out of RD3. And Mixon despite all of the off the field issues I think could also be gone by RD4. Ramyzck in RD2 would be huge but I think everywhere I've looked he's gone by the 20th pick. And Antonio Garcia in RD3 at OT might be a stretch since I am starting to see him creep up as the No.1 or No.2 rated OT of his class. Ben Boulware in RD6 didn't surprise me though. He's more of an effort guy and makes up for his lack of athletic ability. He'll be a solid ILB in maybe an established 3 - 4 defensive scheme where he only has to focus on sniffing out the run. That alone could shoot his value up for some teams around RD3 or RD4. I'd hate him to see him playing in a stout defense like Pittsburgh or for the tinhorns in houston for sure though. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I live in Ohio and I watched every OSU game last year. It's the only team in college that I've seen all of their games and Elflein is the most well rounded and pro ready Center I've seen since Fredrick. He's an excellent run blocker, a very good pass protector and a great leader. I see no flaws in his game. Personally, I view Center as the 2nd most important position on the O-Line and Elflein has everything I'm looking for. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Can't complain about this one:
<div style="font-size:26px;">1: R1P4 <div>DL JONATHAN ALLEN ALABAMA </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">2: R2P3 <div>RB LEONARD FOURNETTE LSU </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">3: R3P4 <div>S JUSTIN EVANS TEXAS A&M </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">4: R4P3 <div>C ETHAN POCIC LSU </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">5: R5P4 <div>CB CORN ELDER MIAMI </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">6: R6P3 <div>OT WILL HOLDEN VANDERBILT </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">7: R7P4 <div>TE BLAKE JARWIN OKLAHOMA STATE </div> </div>
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Quote:Well... if we're posting ones that aren't realistic.. <div style="font-size:26px;">4: R1P4 <div>DL JONATHAN ALLEN ALABAMA </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">35: R2P3 <div>S MALIK HOOKER OHIO STATE </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">68: R3P4 <div>C PAT ELFLEIN OHIO STATE </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">110: R4P3 <div>TE JAKE BUTT MICHIGAN </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">148: R5P4 <div>RB JAMES CONNER PITTSBURGH </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">187: R6P3 <div>EDGE JOSH CARRAWAY TCU </div> </div> <div style="font-size:26px;">222: R7P4 <div>CB JEREMY CUTRER MIDDLE TENNESSEE </div> </div>
My latest:
1 - 4: Solomon Thomas, DL 2 - 3: Adoree' Jackson, CB/Returner 3 - 4: Obi Melifonwu, S 4 - 3: Jake Butt, TE 5 - 4: Isaac Asiata, G 6 - 3: Jalen Reeves-Maybin, LB 7 - 4: Tarean Folston, RB Why I like it. I got a lot of versatility at the top of the draft and strengthened the strength. I dipped into the TE pool and got a good talent. Why I hate it. I didn't go RB until the Seventh and that is pretty much a throwaway guy. Lamp was staring at me in Round Two, but I took Jackson over him. My Tight End pick probably won't even play this season.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! |
