I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

At my old job, I had an email chain saved for years. It was a proposal by a lower level supervisor that in order to prepare for the Plan Of the Day meeting, that Engineering should have a planning meeting prior to the Site wide meeting. He was informed that there already was such a meeting as the Engineering Plan of the Day meeting was made just for this purpose. He responded back within four minutes with "well then we should have a Plan of the Plan meeting". He named them PoP meetings.


I got invites to PoP meetings for the next 10 years.


Apparently, a "plan of the plan" meeting made sense to those people...

They're engineers. They went to school for it.... just ask them, they'll tell you...
