Quote:Wow basically what Hillary would have delivered plus a wall Now all she gets to deliver is a hot meal. What a shame.
When Juan Williams is at a loss of finding anything negative, you know the dems are in trouble.
Quote:Wasn't he replaced by a republican?? Lmbo. You referring to the two term Kentucky governor?

Quote:Yes, who was replaced by a republican. This is the out of gas guy your people choose to combat Trumps home run? His term limit expired, he wasn't replaced.
Quote:I always thought the standing every sentence was lame. It reminded me of Pop-up Pelosi a few years ago when Obama gave a State of the Union address. Quote:As much as others think this isn't the case, Trump is being run by the same "swamp" of military contractors, big oil, politicians, etc, etc... Agreed on this. We'll end up stalling again instead of moving forward. I hope this changes of course in good time. Sometimes you can't completely break free from old heads and regimes. The 5 year ban on lobbying from executive branch officials and a life time ban on becoming lobbyists for foreign government is a good start though for our future... ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing; Rush in and die, dogs - I was a man before I was a king." I will give him this though. And I applaud him for it. When he said "My job is not to represent the world. My job is to represent the United States of America". That's what you want to hear. Now I just want to see his actions coincide with that line.
Some of his proposals seem like they're coming from both sides of the aisle though. Which, again, shows you why the Republican party didn't like him to begin with. Why they were so desperate to drive him into the ground, going as far as stating that they'd rather vote in Clinton instead. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Most of his views are nationalistic. He really does believe in putting America first. I have no problem with that. And I am happy to see him stating that we need to put the rest of the world on the back burner to address our own issues here at home. I am on board for that. We spend billions of dollars a year poking our fingers in other's chests around the world. We spend billions of dollars a year aiding other countries around the world.
It's just time to get away from that. We don't need to police the world. We don't need to spread peace and freedom in the middle east. It doesn't work. They don't want that over there. So [BAD WORD REMOVED] them. Pack it up and bring everyone back home. Let the animals wipe themselves out. People, pay attention to that. This is why the Neoconservatives and republicans didn't like him. And this is why the intelligence communities don't like him. He doesn't want to keep running us into the ground with unwinnable wars that just cause more and more issues down the road. I don't see how anybody could be against that. Eliminate ISIS. Wash our hands of it for good. And get the hell out of there. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. Quote:It likely means that Trump gave a speech that reflects Dem policies. He did in many cases. Don't forget, the Democrats were the party of controlled immigration up until the past decade. Bill Clinton gave a speech in the 90s about the requirement to stem illegal immigration and enforce border security. They were also the part of fair trade and small-business/middle-class. There are many policies of Trump of which Democrats should applaud. Unfortunately so many are blinded by pure partisan hatred they refuse to see the good that Trump embraces. I saw when Trump talked about empowering women entrepreneurs, paid family leave, and child care tax credits that most Democrats were so salty they couldn't even clap/stand for that. School Choice: Are Feds going to be doling out money so rich folks can get a discount on sending their kids to private school? Pretty sure if it's not the civil rights issue of our time.
Wall: still think this is the dumbest thing ever. This is his "Trump Tower" legacy wish. It will just be tore down in a future administration. Why waste funds? Tax: Very interested in this when plans are finished. He is talking about a lot of spending. Curious to see how this all shakes out. Mostly, thank goodness it was a normal address to Congress.
Yep...only rich people send their kids to private school.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Quote:It likely means that Trump gave a speech that reflects Dem policies. It likely means the dems went into the night planning to sit on their hands no matter what was said. |
