No QBs taken in top three?

(This post was last modified: 03-10-2017, 03:24 AM by Andy G.)

With the 49ers and Bears both signing stop gap QBs, the chances are they aren't going QB in the first round any more (although it's possible - teams have done this in the past and just sat their expensive draft pick on the bench for a season)

If that happens, who do you think goes at two and three?

I'm thinking it could be bad news for us, with both Thomas and Fournette going. And with SS and CB no longer a big need for us and Allen's shoulder issues, I'm not sure who we draft,

Solomon Thomas, trade back if we can.

Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.

If there are no QBs taken in the top three and Allen has shoulder concerns, he could be gone.

Jonathan Allen - an ideal 3-gap DT will take over for Sen'Derrick in a constant rotation with our $90 mil DT.

It's gonna be Fournette at #4. There is no team ahead of us that needs a RB. I desperately wanna trade back though and fix the O-Line. I believe given the current state of our O-Line, Fournette would be a big mistake. Out of all the starters on our line, only one can run block (Albert) and he's older and not the greatest pass protector in the world. I was actually under the assumption we were gonna try and fix the offense via free agency, but I was wrong.

Linder is a good run blocker as well

Actually...

if no qb go in round three...

Dave could have his pick at qb... none of this best remaining.

Hopefully... just in case... he's doing his homework on the top qbs.

Then again, if no qbs go in the top three we may be able to trade back.

None of these QB's are worth burning a pick on in the first 4 rounds.

Kizer might be.

IMO he's not even worth a 4th rounder.

Why would you even say this? He's got a good head on his shoulders and should do just fine. If the Jaguars took Kizer at #4 I'd be fine with it. The ultimate QB competition would be on.

I loosely rank them as far as where I'd draft them...

  1. Kizer - top 10

  2. Watson - top 20

  3. Trubisky - top 30

  4. Mahomes - top 40

  5. Brad Kaaya - 2nd round (top 60)

  6. Nate Peterman - 3rd round

  7. Davis Webb - 4th round

  8. Jerod Evans - 5th round

  9. Josh Dobbs - 6th round

  10. Chad Kelly - 7th round

Ha so you're saying none of these QBs have any potential to start in the league? That's a bit ridiculous. Also I think Kizer is fourth out of the top 4.

Why would I say it? I saw Kizer play last year and he was putrid. When there was a rush, he panicked and made terrible throws. He needs a completely clean pocket and even then, he's just average. I'm sticking with my original assessment. I don't like this QB class at all and I certainly wouldn't draft one until the 5th round or later.
