Poe signs with Falcons

1 year 8 mil.
I wonder if we offered the same or more or if he just preferred the Falcons? Would make sense considering they are a playoff team already and he wanted a 1 year "prove it" deal. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I think that I was most interested on name value. I had read several times that his level of play has dropped off over the last couple years. It didn't stop me from hoping we would pick him up but it is easy to move on.

He's a 2nd or even a 3rd tier free agent anyway. We didn't lose out on a big name player. Overall we still had a top 3 signing period with a perfect draft spot coming soon.
I'm gonna do like Jags02 and make a quick list of guys we could potentially walk away with. Allen Thomas Fournette Hooker Mixon Feeney And then 3rd thru 7th. We're gonna be primed for a solid run at the division with quality depth.
Jags had the highest offer on the table but he wanted to play for Dan Quinn.

Would have been a nice rotation but not necessarily needed either We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! If the Jags start winning some games then they too can get the savings on free agents looking to go to the playoffs.
I don't see Atlanta going back to the Super Bowl anytime soon. They are about to get a new offense installed.
