Zachary Terrell was a monster in college at WMU

Quote:I'm not so sure about Dimmick because he's not much of an athlete at all and has no real edge talent. Dimmick got his sacks by brute strength with his bull rush. He's powerful as heck, but in the NFL I fear that power might be mitigated.

I'm gonna play the advocate and say that, that power he has is what will cause him to standout enough to earn a roster spot and help him to success his career. Derek Landri 2.0

It's not Terrell Zachery, the WR from Auburn ...it's Zach Terrell, the QB from Western Michigan.

Quote:You know what I can say the same thing about you and your negativity towards him is very very weird as if football is your life not just entertainment. The way you and others you negative things about him on a daily basis is as if he did something to your life personally instead of remembering that it's just a game. So maybe you need to calm down and sit in front of a therapist instead of judging me.

See. This is how stupid you are. Pull up a post showing my 'negativity' towards Bortles. Ignoramus. Show me. You're so busy clinging to Bortles' jockstrap you just throw this out there without having a clue if it's correct.

Yes I'm aware.

April 29th the Ravens signed QB Zach Terrell to participate in their minicamp.

May 8th the Ravens released QB Zach Terrell.

Since we're talking about him this is a good time to look at him a little more in depth...

Zach Terrell, at 6-1, 209, led his team to 13-1 season and the MAC title. He's got some mobility to his game, an it appears he can make most throws with decent accuracy along with some touch on his deeper passes, although he did have Corey Davis to throw to. He also lacks ideal arm strength and has considerable mechanical issues regarding his throwing motion. Check out his highlights.

The other two QBs are Justin Holman out of Central Florida and Mitch Leidner from Minnesota.

Replacing Blake Bortles at UCF, the 6-4, 215 lb Holmon is considered a duel-threat qb since he runs so much. At his pro day he ran a 4.7 and had a 35 1/2" vert. It's hard to get a read on him as a passer. Here's a clip from a couple years ago of Holman making some passes...

Mitch Leidner, at 6-3 226 lbs has a complete Minnesota highlight reel...

<p style="margin-left:40px;">

He's yet another somewhat mobile qb with a tendency to take off near the goal line. His passes can be very erratic and his velocity is rather slow reminding me of reports I've read about Deshaun Watson. From his highlights I'm noticing a nice short-to-intermediate passing game but virtually nothing thrown deep.

How rock bottom are we when we're over-analyzing rookie camp invitations?

Few, if any of these guys have an even remote chance of making the roster.

Even on the Jaguars.

One could say a team with the worst record over the last 5 years in the NFL would have at least a few guys make it from this rookie mini-camp.  I think it is worth a thread and some attention.  I wouldn't call it rock bottom, I'd just call it the offseason when football games aren't played and practices (even those closed to the media/fans) get attention.

Lamar Atkins out of Louisville is listed among the practice players as a RB, but he's actually a FB. He's a short, thick FB standing 5' 10 5/8" but weighing 236 lbs.

Yeah. It doesn't happen often - but it happens.  They do in fact select these guys hoping that they may find a gem here or there.

I remember an interview with John Harbaugh I saw recently and the reporter mentioned rookie camp and he said something to the effect of "we hope that 3 or 4 of these workout players make us keep them around."

Still -- these kids are fighting tough odds to still be on an NFL roster come July.  Much less September.

I hope they don't warn him because I'm a man and I can take a little criticism. I hope this message board don't get too sensitive when it comes to people's speaking their opinion on things.

Eh... it's borderline, but I'm not tempted to warn him.

See, this is how super sensitive you are because I never said you said anything negative about Blake. You jump yourself into into a situation by attacking me when you should have stayed in your lane especially if you can't take the Heat.
