Fiesta Bowl thread: Okay Bortles...impress me.

People really think Manziel will succeed in the NFL??

He wont have Mike Evans to bail him out with those jump balls he throws and will struggle

Bortles declaring is one of the best things that could happen for the Jags.  It would pretty much guarantee we get our QB between Teddy, Johnny, and Bortles.

No....we are talking just accuracy here....the charge is that he is inaccurate

lol, Carr.....Yeah Carr will do good in drills with no pressure...but as we saw in the USC game, he will disappoint once the lights go on.
I think this is the exact game that proves that bortles is better than Carr. Carr crumbled in his bowl game and was unable to rally his team back into the game. Bortles on the other hand threw two picks in a row, came out the next series, lost the ball again, then has led his team to take control of the game against a Great D, which he almost did against SC, and managed to do against the rest of the games on his schedule.  So from a poise standpoint and being able to play against good D's I put him above Carr, even if Carr is more accurate in that air raid offense. With all the running Bortles has been doing tonight as well I feel like he'll be better suited when it comes to taking a hit in the pocket and less blaine Gabbert.

Quote:Where are you coming up with this....I've watched him all year....he's dead accurate. There's a video I posted in College Football. Manziel is throwing footballs thru basketball hoops from the top of A&M stadium. You can't have subpar accuracy and do that. Watch the dang video. The title is Manziel Trick Shots

That's cool and all, but padless trick shots with no pressure mean literally nothing.

He has a stupid name so he can't be good, it's the Blaine Gabbert effect.

Quote:Manziel is a steal in the 2nd round, his upside is way more the Bortles

No it isn't. They both have the upside of a top 5 qb.

Where was Evans last night except making penalties?

The thing is that the video doesn't show how many times he missed before he actually made it.

A lot of QBs have accurate throws with no pass rush. Heck Gabbert looked like a changed man during practices. When it comes game time is what matters. Trick shot videos dont mean crap to an NFL scout.

No Manziel has way more upside, ask any NFL scout or GM

No to Bortles at #3… Rather take Clowney or Barr - assuming Teddy B is gone.

Man....what's with some of you guys....we're just talking accuracy......with pads and moving and under pressure, he has proved he is better than anybody when healthy

Bortles with another big play

Who was that kicker that got a chance to make a roster because of a trick shot video and then proceeded to be inaccurate and get cut?

Well a real NFL scout and GM pretty much just said on twitter the NFL draft board said he is a 2nd round pick, which means at best he can go in the mid first round, so if you draft him at 3 your a fool.
