Is anyone worried...

#1

That we are going to draft Mitch Trubisky? This would be the 3rd QB in the first that we've drafted who's been a high riser out of nowhere.

I remember we brought in Teddy Bridgewater for additional workouts and everyone thought we'd be taking him and then the Jags surprised everyone and took Blake Bortles. The Deshaun Watson news has me a little worried and I'm wondering if it's just a smokescreen. I have no problem with just taking a late round QB like Evans or someone to develop but a little concerned if we're going to be tied to another overrated and overhyped prospect.

Not even remotely.

Absolutely no way we are burning our first on a QB in this draft. I'd be willing to bet my life on it.

I'm past the worry stage with this team. I'm on acceptance..

I worry about everything that I have absolutely no control over and doesn't really affect me in the least.

Better chance the jaguars draft uncle Rico in the first round....
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

I'm worried we're going to draft Allen at 4. That's about it. And even that isn't a BAD choice. I just don't like him there.

All this worrying... to think I was worried about getting a TE at #4.

That'd be pretty foolish. While its not likely, I could see Coughlin falling in love with a guy and deciding to make his mark early, and in a major way. I'd be willing to bet, although not my life, that Deshaun Watson's mental toughness has TCs attention.

As I told a poster in another thread - you have a better chance of being bitten by a shark and struck by lightning on the same day than you do of seeing the Jags take a QB at #4 in the 2017 draft.

I dont see the comparison. we brought Bortles in the same way we are bring in Watson. Bridgewater did get an extra workout before the draft but Watson has yet to get that, its a normal visit.

No. We're not gonna draft a QB in the first round. I'm certain we won't draft one in round 2 either and I am highly doubt we draft one in round 3. From round 4 on though, anything is possible.

After round three the qbs really fall off a cliff. I'm hoping we could still get Webb or Peterman with our 3rd.

Then again, I noticed that in my 7-round mocks, I'm usually ending up with Jarod Evans in round 5.

It's easier just to accept that the QB issue is not gonna get fixed this year, unless Bortles gets fixed. It's not gonna come from some outside source.

Yeah. I mock Webb or Peterman to the Jags in nearly every mock I've attempted, but I don't actually expect them to draft either guy.

I recall some early buzz regarding Peterman and the Jags being interested, but I've not seen anything lately. I like what I've read about him.
