While I like McCaffrey. Dave doesn't seem too high on him. He always refers to him as a third down back.

I like a trade down for an extra 2. I can see that and grabbing anyone at 8 is still OK. There isn't anything guaranteed  in the top 10, maybe Garrett at #1. I have read that the niners could go Fournette or even a QB.

This makes sense as I'd be content as well, however, the Panthers actions suggest otherwise.
