Quote:We had a supposedly great draft on paper last year and we ended up winning only 3 games.

I would like to have the opposite happen

Two of our top three picks last year were legimate ROY candidates. The other--Myles Jack--barely saw the field.

Quote:What you're going to get at this point of the draft at OL are more Bowankos.  They're going to be in the OL "mix" but not likely standout starters.

If you choose to freak out about OL, that's your choice.  It would be wise to realize help isn't likely on the way.  I'd like to add some OL with the remaining picks as well, but understand the quality of players that are left on the board.  They aren't what you seem to think they are.  They are on competition level with what we already have.
I'd like to freak out about not drafting Dobbs in the 5th.  Every year other teams take chances on these mid-late rd qb's and seem to find guys.  We draft Brandon Allens. So anyway, Dobbs woulda been wayyy more rewarding of a risk reward pick if he were to pan out, with flaky Blake back there.

He was drafted well before our 5th...

In my opinion, Dobbs sucks so I'm glad we didn't. Peterman would have a better argument for me.

I feel like Dede will play the Tyreek Hill role, lots of screens, reverses, and returns

I guess the intrigue of having such a great athlete with all the tangibles and the intellect of an aerospace engineer under center just grasped me.

Well he went to a good team and a good situation so we will see how he develops.

Kinda hope so, I won't feel as bad as when we passed on Wilson and Prescott. No I don't- thats just selfish of me- I wish the guy success, regardless.

The fun thing about all this, we never really know, but we shall see.

Caldwell's response does nothing to help situation. I cannot root for this guy.

Quote:If this team had quality starters across the board, I'd agree.  But this team still has enough holes that they need to BAP at need position all the way to the 6th or 7th round.  The two greatest needs the team has is to fix its putrid OL and to find a viable qb to develop in case Bortles flames out (one good enough to push him a little this year because the other two we have on the roster can't).

Chill you must

Often times it takes growth and mistakes being made b4 we learn from our short comings and become a better individual, ever evolving.. Handling the next situation better than the past. We can only hope the kid has grown up.

It would suggest to me there's more to the story.

This.

First thing I thought when I saw Caldwell talk was that maybe the story isn't true/reports are incorrect. If we drafted him we talked to a lot of people/looked into this deep...so there is probably just more info he knows.

As much as I didn't think we would go WR. Probably my favorite pick. Especially with Lee and ARob contracts up next year. Dude won the award for best WR in college football. Same award Backmon and Lee won

It's possible to keep all of them too, especially if Bortles doesn't get a mega deal, which he shouldn't.

one of Lee, ARob, and or Smith won't get signed imo. Linder is the only lock

Quote:Benn?  He's a good dude but may be odd man out?

I like Benn because he's big, physical, fast and can catch. Just cut Greene. The guy is a ghost.
