Yes because doesn't relate to on the field.   Back in the day almost all nfl players had issues.  You must be too young to get that.  You would never see so many nfl players if character was an issue.  

 

I don't personally care what people did off the field.  I watch games to see play makers and scores and big time plays. Personal life is just that theirs. 

Although I get this, I understand fans being a little uncomfortable cheering for guys that did very bad things off the field. I totally get it. Just not a fan of labeling him when we didn't do near the background work that this team did. I think they have a pretty good idea of what happened, and based on what Dave said it doesn't sound like the story that was told is true.

Which is true in many cases.  Mixon aside. And at the end of the day.  Blackmon was still a great pick.  And was exciting to watch even for a short time.  And I don't regret that pick.  So why would I this?

First thing I thought when I saw Caldwell talk was that maybe the story isn't true/reports are incorrect. If we drafted him we talked to a lot of people/looked into this deep...so there is probably just more info he knows.

Prefaced by it was apparently written by an OSU grad and somewhat of a homer. So the bent is skewed. The facts presented though are very odd. Unfortunately, I could not get any other sources for some of these. While he was not charged for many of these, the situations and stories are very familiar to a number of the spousal abuse patients I have treated in the past. It is hard to know who is telling what truth, but these are a lot of "alleged" incidents to overlook.

Maybe they hope that our guys will play better with better coaching. It's possible.

I am going to offer this, back in the day when TC was the head coach there was an issue with the O-line.  Tom came out and boldly stated yes their is an issue and it will be fixed.  Without making a change of the starting 5, the offensive line was never an issue again the rest of the season.

Not a fan of this pick. I get that hes a great talent and it was value in the 4th, but this is a troubled person. Hes got all sorts of baggage on the side. He hangs out with the G's, he cares more about what hes doing off the field than on. I was stunned what I read on this guy. Some scouts reported that Mixon's character is better than this guys. They say he has a short circuit, hes nice one moment than a monster the next. Hes had multiple domestic abuse altercations. 

 

We missed on some talent in the third and fourth. Just not on board with Dede, I hope he proves me wrong. But I am not a fan of the selection.
