904Nette-Making play action great again
Respect the game. Play with a sense of urgency.

1.) Take care of the ball. Win the turnover battle.

2.) It's all about 3rd down. Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays. The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

Quote:If Blake needs a running game to be successful then you have your answer about him. I love where our division is going. Texans, colts, and titans want to throw the ball around. We want to play slow ball. LOL. Stupid pick. We'll be at the bottom of the division for the next few years.
Quote:I do think I speaks a lot about what we have at qb. I really want Blake to be great but I have my 3 years sample and we just drafted an RB at 4 to run the ball 30 times a game. Just another sign telling me we'll be in the market for a qb next year.

I won't say it's a stupid pick it not gonna say he suck. He was definitely the best running back in the draft and he was the drafts star.

It just tells me where this team is and that doesn't comfort me. But hey just another year being a jags fan.
Y'all do know Dak, Russell Wilson and Marcus Mariota success was built on their team emphasizing the run game with their running backs right? Let's stop with the Blake hate and use common sense will evaluate football teams.

Some of the trolls have made the board unreadable at times as well. Losing all the time doesn't help either.

Ivory was bad last year. He couldn't find a hole often and when he did he coughed it up. This was the right pick.

It's not hate. It's the truth. Those players are successful because the teams are successful. They are a part of the cog. I would actually say Russell doesn't belong in that sentence cause he is actually special. On the other hand the pats are successful because Tom Brady. Do you understand what I'm saying?

I'm not saying he sucks. But let's not act like he is this great player whos gonna will this team to victory either. If you give him a great running game and a great defense he should excel. Just like most qbs. I don't see how that mean he is worthy of praise tho. It just a fact that for him to be successful he needs all those other pieces and that's fine too. Whatever it take to get the franchise back winning but he isn't a special player.

Checkout this one run...

https://youtu.be/7MKKnCz8OSc?t=2m55s

At the leaping tackle attempt at the 3 min mark. This is a good example of just how tough it is to tackle Fournette.

After watching this run, scroll to the 4:10 mark for another example.

lol... then watch the run at 4:25.

Next, on the 5:28 run, look how the defender squares up for a text book tackle attempt 2 seconds in.

At 7:23, watch them try to tackle Fournette after a catch.

This is a really an extremely thorough scouting report...

I especially like the part at the 9:47 mark where he says, "to me, he's not Adrian Peterson...he's even better."

Sure he needs a running game. For starters, he's statistically at his best when he's able to use play action, but moreover, we've seen that his arm wears out when he's leading the entire league in attempts.

And I agree this is the best for him. It's best for our team. But then I look and see Brady doesn't need a running game. Peyton didn't need one. It tells me he isn't of their caliber. But can he still be a good player and get us to the postseason with all the other pieces in places? I think so

So he's not the caliber of the two arguably best QBs ever. Gotcha.

lol y'all are funny.

Most of the time, you have to a really good/great qb to win super bowls. I'm sure history will back up that statement. The fact that he can't will the team to victory isn't a bad thing. He can still be good and win games for us and be productive. He's just not special or that still remains to be seen.

Quote:If he doesn't average at least 1000 yards he is a Huge bust. Drafting a RB that high better mean he averages more than that. 1000 yards over the course of a 16 game season is only 62.5 yards a game. For a top five draft pick, he must do more than that. And do it for a long time.

If he can get to, and maintain, a level of play in the Flacco/Eli quality we will be alright.
