That was expected yesterday as she was being lobbed softballs by her attorney.  She faces the prosecution today.  They're not going to let her play the victim.

I still wonder how someone with so little control of her finances, and her constantly playing the elderly victim that can't remember a thing thought it was a good idea to run for office again earlier this year.

Juror #13 got tossed for talking about leaving judgment to a higher power several times.  The judge has ordered deliberations to start over this with one of the alternates filling the role of the departed juror. 

 

My guess is that now that we've removed an obstacle from the process, we will have a verdict before weeks end.

I agree.  It was interesting that I read somewhere that the other jurors didn't have a problem starting over with deliberations which leads me to believe that they probably had agreed on a number of things for the most part.

Nope.  She needs to spend some time in one of those prisons she represented.  No choice based on mandatory minimum sentencing guidelines.  The IRS charges alone are a life sentence at her age.

Guilty on 18 of 22 counts.  The jury found her not guilty on the single transaction charges where they couldn't confirm that she was in cahoots with her former chief of staff, but on all of the conspiracy charges and the IRS charges, she was found guilty.  As soon as the information about her testimony came out, it started to look like a slam dunk.  She kept telling people she could tell her story the best, and in the end, she certainly did,
