The crowded jaguars WR roster..

Quote:Good size and decent hands for a tight end. But just could not block.
More room for Koyack.

I am really excited about that pick (about as excited over a 7th round pick as one could be).

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Desmond Cooper is the local kid who played at Bolles.

Isn't Sterling being converted to a TE?

If Gus is right about Ace, thats a bonus for us. Hopefully he can win the punt returning job, him and Green can perform well and both play KR and PR. I think Green is destined for the slot, i think he will contribute well, Ace gotta lock that PR job though to stick around.

That's definitely not the depth chart.

That depth chart is awful. Apparently we cut Marcedes Lewis.

No one on this WR roster strikes fear into an opponent.  I think it is mediocre overall.  With growth in Robinson and Lee, there is upside to decent.

Robinson

Lee

Greene

Hurns

Sanders

Doss

Benn

Walters

Copeland

Washington

Closs

Not like any receiver on either teams in last year's Super Bowl struck fear into anyone.

I think its safe to say our WR group is better than both Seattle's and New England's homerism aside.

When you couple this group with Julius Thomas, it doesn't look so bad.

If the playbook will primarily consists of two TEs, two WRs, and one H-back which two WRs do you feel will play the most often this season?

I read in a thread that Gus said Lee would be the starting X, so I assume Hurns or Allen Robinson might be the other?

Robinson and Lee will be on the field during 2 WR sets. I also think that Greene will see the field more than Hurns as the season progresses.

I do agree that Hurns is probably going to be scraping for touches.  He had a phenomenal year last season, but he doesn't have Jedd Fisch as his coordinator this time around.

How much do you think we can attribute Hurns' success last season to knowing the system as opposed to him simply having the necessary talent to play the position at the NFL level? I know it helps some, that's not what I'm asking...but did his system mastery overshadow his skillset?
