Quote:Is Julius Thomas a young "Blue Chipper"?

The key for Julius Thomas is he needs to stay relatively healthy. If Thomas does, I think he will be one of the best receiving TE's for a number of seasons ahead. Unfortunately, injuries have been problematic with Thomas in the past.

Absolutely.

Quote: The fact that he has many connections in the NFL leads me to believe that his information is worth paying attention too. Yet, having said that, the team and/ or agents involved could be providing false information to try to throw other teams and agents off.

Agreed on the second sentence, but if we're rankings reporters in terms of being "tuned in", I'd put Caplan near the top.

Julius Thomas is already one of the best pass-catching tight ends. The Broncos are going to miss him next year. Injuries are a concern for any player and I never thought medical history is a bigger problem for him than other free agents on our wish list.

We can have all the interest for the big free agents but if they aren't interested it's a moot point.

Quote:Of the players you mentioned, which player ( s ) do you think the Jaguars have the best chance of landing, based on what you expect their strategy to be?

Mccourtey, Hughes, Thomas, Bulaga and Orakpo.

They would give the big contract to Mccourtey so we can speed up this rebuild. No promising FS in the draft and not many great free agent fits. They can't afford to wait until next year. The main missing component to the D.

Hughes, swayed by former Bills connections

Thomas to get Graham type TE money. Get him here. Get him here for Bortles.

Bulaga will get like 4 yr 45mil with 15 guaranteed

Orakpo, he talkin bout Dallas. Scratch him and gimme Hardy

By not signing Suh, you become more flexible. Fill more spots. I would love to have Harvin making plays all over the place, having perhaps, learned from prior immaturity and be that punt return specialist that we all know and need

I certainly agree with you.

Adam Caplan is a frequent guest on Vikings play by play man Paul Allen's radio show on KFAN. I find Caplan very insightful on a wide range of football topics.

Adam Caplan reports that Thomas to the Jags is a virtual guarantee at this point.

"As long as the money isn't out of hand, Julius Thomas and the #Jaguars will be a solid match. Rare that a really young TE becomes free."

I'm not sure what you consider the Jaguars FA wish list. However, Julius Thomas and Bryan Bulaga both have an extensive history of injuries that weren't considered minor. The Jaguars have more margin of error because of their salary cap situation. But these players come with plenty amount of risk.

Based on rumors which obviously means nothing Suh may be heading to Miami. Saw something say a deal may already be agreed upon but I honestly don't believe that. But Miami won't surprise me though......better team in terms of named players, glamour area, and a coach who won't tell him anything

Parnell the target for RT:

Quote:Jermey Parnell | DAL

(March 7, 2015 10:03 PM EST)

FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo names the Redskins, Bucs, and Jaguars as teams that will pursue free agent RT Jermey Parnell.

All three teams are right tackle needy. With Derek Newton, Doug Free, and King Dunlap all staying put, Parnell is suddenly a top-five offensive tackle in free agency. Parnell has started seven games since entering the NFL in 2009.

As much as we need Mccourtey he wont come here, its not happening

No question we will get one of the RT's

Wish list: Devin McCourty, Julius Thomas, Bryan Bulaga, Byron Maxwell in that order.

The only possibility you expressed that would surprise me if it happened is if the Jaguars end up with Greg Hardy this year. I think his off the field issues will override everything else from the standpoint of the Jaguars team brass. My prediction is Greg Hardy is going to sign with the Bengals.

For the record, I do believe that the Jaguars will sign Julius Thomas and Bryan Bulaga if they hit the open market on Tuesday, Beyond them, I expect another couple of big signings but at this time have less confidence in making predictions about specific players the Jaguars will sign.

I certainly agree with you on the first two and wouldn't be surprised at all on Brian Orapko as well.

Probably unlikely green bay allows Bulaga to leave. They can't afford that to happen especially with how he's coming off an injury

If the Jeremy Parnell reports are accurate, I don't see Bryan Bulaga coming to Jacksonville on Tuesday.

Yea Thomas is a lock, then it will be one of the RT's and a pass rusher, Orakpo, Hughes or Hardy
