Looks like we may have narrower goal posts starting next season. Vinny missed 3 today.

Quote:According to the uniforms, it looks like Oregon vs. Oregon State.

Oregon wore blue and gray uniforms against Ohio State.

For teams called Irvin and Carter, I would prefer the colors in this game be blue and purple.

The competition committee has a lot to talk about next month. They apparently also will discuss changing the replay system from "under the hood" reviews to Microsoft Surface tablets. How is that working for John Parry tonight?

I knew petting my cat would be more fun than watching this stupid game. The only interesting part is Adam Vinitieri missing two extra points.

The Patriots have to agree with you after all the hours they spent talking about the air pressure inside a football.

While it makes sense from a technology standpoint, I don't think the replays will change to the tablets. It actually improved this year with the leauge making the switch to having access to replay reviews in New York and just streamlining the process by telling the official what the call should be eliminating the time spent by the game official looking at multiple angles trying to make a call.

The referee still makes the final decision. That is why we continue to see errors after reviews - it is not completely centralized. Obviously the NFL is trying to do whatever it can to speed up the game if there is a plan to experiment with tablets on the field.

I don't see how having tablets will speed up the game, the referee still needs to be in communication with replay officials.

If they want to speed up the game, do what they are doing with this game by keeping the clock running except for an incomplete pass until 2:00 minutes left in each period.

Picked team Irvin to cover the spread 4 1/2. I'm smiling right now.

It's been a fun game, better than any jags blowout loss. Hopefully the Super Bowl can live up to the hype.
