Dirocco covers the team. I doubt he is parroting Lacanfora.

I think that's the hold up. They prefer Gase and are waiting, but looks like May settle with Olsen.

This was not a desirable job. We have a head coach on the hot seat. Other situations (San Francisco, Oakland, NY Jets, Chicago) you have new coaches hired. Baltimore is a playoff team that lost their OC to a head coaching job. They are a lot more attractive. Marrone had four million reasons not to worry about that.

And Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey, Martellus Bennett and Matt Forte with John Fox as head coach? Um...yes.

Just saw that we're hiring Olson as OC on nfl network. Confirms that Gase made his decision in my eyes

I feel strange about this whole thing. Adam Gase ???? Is he really any good. Its hard to tell with Manning being there.

I think the Olson deal does get done here. But it is worth pointing out that the NFL Network is referencing a report from the same guy that said Gase will go to Baltimore or Jacksonville.

Fur real....it's the unknown that intrigued everyone. If you're going with resume as a business man you'd probably choose Olson but the ideas of Gase may intrigue you

I don't feel down on this hire as much as the others. The offensive coaching staff has been improved. I don't know Gase, but I do know Olson and Marrone are solid football minds. Regardless, the offensive side of the roster needs to be significantly improved.

I like the Marrone hire. Olson does not feel like a huge upgrade over Fisch.

based on what? Olson has been a OC in the NFL for like 3 other teams, Fisch has never been a NFL OC before coming to the Jags

And every stop his offenses were among the worst in the league.
