Caldwell: "We will be big-spenders in Free Agency."

Quote:Gipson from the Browns for FS has to be an option.

He's a RFA. So unless Caldwell plans on giving up picks and a big contact, he's not an option.

Hoping big time difference makers are available

Quote:I highly doubt Julius makes it to free-agency. Tagging a TE is fairly cheap, and unlike Graham he doesn't have an argument for the WR tag. Cameron has major injury red flags (three concussions in 2 years). Bulaga too has injury concerns, same with Clay.

The hope is that the Broncos have to tag Demaryius so Julius has a chance to walk.

I don't get the Ipuati talk. We just spent a ton on Beadles and Linder is our best guard o-linemen.

Gipson would be a sweet pick-up man. Or McCourty. But I agree. I see them going after a pair of TE's, a RT and possibly a WR.

Agreed.  I'm all for taking a G/C in the 3rd round or so with the plan of having him redshirt, but no reason to spend money on a guard in FA.

Players come where the money is, no state taxes, a head coach that players love, a rich owner, only old washed up vets will not want to come here since they will want to go to a super bowl ready team

I hope JPP does sign here. It would be in the best interest of all parties concerned. For the Jags, they would get a true Leo DE and for JPP, the Leo position was designed with him manning the position.

“The one thing I overlooked is some guys who could steady the waters … some veteran presence could’ve helped.”

I'm glad we're on the same page. The Jags have more talent than they realize, but some guys still don't know how to be NFL players, and it shows against QBs that are fundamentally sound.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Edit: on the right people.

Not Jerry Porter (who was never a stud before we signed him)

Not Drayton Florence ( who was never that good before we signed him)

We have a good GM who recognizes talent..

I'm convinced some of y'all just jump on the bandwagon and don't even watch for yourselves. Beadles has continually elevated his level of play.

In any case it's a moot point. The Jaguars HAVE to spend a lot of money because of the cap floor. It's not an option.
