Upset Special: Prisco Pick'n the JAGS

#21

Quote:i think people are overrating the browns a little bit because of how bad everyone expected them to be. they are definitely better than us, but the defense isn't very good and their whole offense is based around running the ball efficiently. that will be tougher for them with mack out.

their defense is not as bad as its ranked. expect that to get a lot better as the seasons wears on.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Because they only let the Steelers score 10 points? The same defense let the Titans score 28 points a week before that.

Where are they ranked?

Quote:Prisco is a Jaguars homer so this pick doesn't surprise me.

This made me LOL, I have to admit.  Prisco hates the Jags with every fiber of his being and is terrified of being labeled a homer.  But he is willing to go out on the limb in this case because he knows the smart money is on Cleveland and if the Jags do happen to win he can milk it for weeks and weeks.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

How can Prisco hate the Jaguars if he wrote a book about them?

OJ Simpson hated his wife, but he wrote a book about her.

He wrote the book for revenue I assume. Look, "hate" was probably a poor choice of words but he certainly has no love for the organization. I think Prisco felt jilted in the early days when the team was forming their media crew and combined with a fear of being labeled a homer, his commentary has always leaned towards a bias against the team. He's not even remotely "pro-Jaguars".

Pete is pro whatever makes him money. He talked smack about the Jaguars when he had a show here because the team couldn't get over the hump and help propel his career.

He is right. He will be upset with his pick after the Jags lose again.
