A Not So Rosy Look at Bortles' Ascent to Starter

#70

Quote:I think they'll be recognized for doing a good job eventually but I understand the fans who are impatient that we haven't seen the improvement realized on the field yet. Until this happens, this is gonna be a theme. It's not exactly the same, but I remember people wanted to fire Coughlin early in the second year too...and he had more advantages than Caldwell has had.

Tom Coughlin was a different animal. He was the strictest disciplinarian ever. Sometime during that second season, he loosened up and let the players do more. Now the  coach, Gus Bradley, is a guy everybody wants to play for. So when we get to the playoffs again, his player-friendly attitude will be one of the reasons.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
