Poll: The Seahawks looked well beyond the Jags with talent, precision, execution, etc. tonight. How long do you think until the Jags can legitimately compete with the reigning Super Bowl champs?

Seahawks vs Jags

Quote:lol, that actually is a funny thought.
I would have Frank do his Morgan Freeman.  That outta be the right speed for Peyton Manning on an end around.  Also, a mortuary tone for when he gets hit.

Quote:The consensus top QBs in the NFL are Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Aaron Rogers, and Tom Brady.

Russell Wilson's record against them?

6-0
We beat the Texans twice last year.  Does that make Andre Branch better than JJ Watt?

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

It would if they handled the ball on every snap.

So, according to your logic, when we beat the Browns, that made Brad Meester better than Alex Mack.

Maybe on that day.

Why don't you try watching a game before you analyze it?

Why are you taking a shot at me?  I'm just using the Socratic method.

Excellent.  I note your conclusion transitioned from an unconditional absolute to a statistical possibility in a single post.  At what point while pondering my question did you realize your assumption was based on a false premise?

LOL.

QB vs QB stats are totally meaningless.  When Russell threw for 103 yards and no TD vs the Saints, was he better than Drew Brees?

Amazing how many people don't realize there are 10 other guys out on the field with the quarterback.  Plus another whole group called the defense.

Geno Smith beat Drew Bree's last year too.

Exactly. Geno may turn out to be a good QB, but he wasn't better than Brees in that game - and he probably will never be.

It's just a silly "stat."   (quotations because it's really not a statistic  -- more a novelty noting)

Well, he did read his book twice.  Which is probably more times than Drew Brees did with ghost writers these days.

Like a pitchers W-L record, it's a team stat and the supporting cast is a huge factor.  ERA is a much better indication of effectiveness.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
