You're right, if he would sit back and think about what he's actually saying he has a point, but his delivery and ego wont let him say it with a rational answer.

MJD has "power" the wrong word because he has some money, a personality, and an audience....there are a lot of people that have more power than he does with a lot less money, but in Tommy's world that isn't true. Money is greater than all...and I'd imagine with his narrow minded opinions, he doesn't have much of it (or it was given to him by someone)
