I think the Raiders have a lot of confidence in Carr and wanted the slot to be free this way they got a draft pick too.

 

I think Jimmy Garoppolo in New England performed so well that it was easy for Bill to trade a poor performing Ryan Mallett to the Texans, and even put a little heat behind Tom Brady as he made comments that he'll play until he sucks.
