Survey flags

#1

I came home yesterday to find some blue flags in my yard and throughout my neighborhood. Today I came home and there are now some orange flags. Anyone know how long I am suppose to leave these alone? I need to mow my grass, badly. Also, anyone know of a website I can find out what construction might be starting? I looked up on JEA and found a little info but nothing for my neiborhood. None of my neighbors I have spoken to have been contacted or have any idea.

I'd just leave them for a few more days...I wouldn't want to mess with them without knowing what they are marking. You'd hate it if they messed up your water lines or something because you moved them...

Leave a flag of your own that asks, "WTH?"

The flags indicate how high the water will rise in your area. Global warming stuff. :whistling:

I think it's actually okay to remove them at this point.  One of the local utilities was more than likely marking where pipes, cables, and such are buried underground.  Someone is probably preparing to do some work in your neighborhood.  Once they've plotted where everything is, it's documented.  They're not working off the flags once they begin.  They'll use the survey documents that outline where stuff is located, so you can pull them out and mow your grass.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
