I don't think any NFL HC will survive 5 or more straight non playoff seasons in the future.

Since Jeff Fisher got fired, I believe the last NFL coach to survive after 5 straight non-playoff seasons was Gary Kubiak w/ #Texans.

I wonder what Jon Gruden's opinion of Jared Goff is? If it's favorable, maybe Gruden could be enticed by Stan Kroenke's dollars.

That's gotta be one of the biggest slaps in the face. Couldn't happen to a better guy tho! Haha.

The Rams will have competition for Mike Smith.

Jon Gruden has repeatedly stated during past coach hiring cycles he has no interest in coaching because he loves his ESPN job. I would be shocked if he accepted any interview request.

Kroenke is gonna go all in and offer Harbaugh 15 million per year plus total control of the team. Gonna bring in Kap to compete with Goff.

Go big or go home in LA.

If Stan Kroenke can pay a coach that salary he could have stayed in St. Louis.

Kroenke is all about the money. He moved the team to LA because he's gonna make three time the amount of money he would've made in St. Louis.

The lure of the spotlight of LA might tempt Jon Gruden if the conditions are right from his perspective.

The Rams would have to consider the fact he has been out of coaching since 2003 when deciding if they should interview him.

Jon Gruden has been out of coaching since being fired after the 2008 season. I agree though that the long time period Jon Gruden has been out of coaching is a legit concern.

ironically, the NFL HC who was out of coaching amongst the longest periods of time was Dick Vermeil, who came back to coach the St. Louis Rams and led them to a Super Bowl win.
