Special Teams played well today!

Quote:Wouldnt show confidence in Gabbert? That must of been why the signed Chad Henne too, to show their confidence in Gabbert.

Go home, bro.
what? we knew what henne is, he signed here as a backup. seriously how do you not know this? and we signed henne before the draft, so picking wilson in the 3rd would also be a dumb move seeing that we already have two qbs ahead of him so itd be a wasted pick. try again though

No dude, seriously how do you not know this. Henne signed here as competition for the.QB position, if we knew what we had when we signed him, why did they start him later last season?

Some backup role. Atleast they showed confidence in Gabbert for half the season.

What QB taken in the third round is expected to become a starter year one? How many of them beat out top 10 draft picks? If Gabbert's confidence was shot from a 3rd round rookie, he shouldnt be playing anyway.

if you think henne was brought to compete for the starting job thats really embarrassing. henne started late in the season because gabbert was injured  :whistling:

Better question, was Russell Wilson drafted to come in and start? They had just brought an expensive Matt Flynn over, and had Tavaris Jackson as well.

Quote:Yeah for a playoff caliber team looking for an advantage on special teams it may have been appropriate to take him that high. But for a team picking in the top ten of each round with holes all over the roster, it was nothing short of idiotic and nothing Anger does in his career will change that.

What if they guy we took with that 3rd ended up being a bust? Also DO any of y'all remember what the punting game used to look like with the TURK WE BOO'D HIM a PUNTER because he couldn't punt. At least now we don't ever have to worry about that again.

Quote:No, no he wasn't. He's a punter.

A punter who was projected to be picked in the third or fourth round when we had no fourth round pick. Everyone forgets what we gave the Buccaneers to jump over the Rams in Round 1.

This is a classic example of doing what it takes to trade down.  Staying in the spot of the draft that the Jaguars were in to draft a Punter,   who on top of everything else wasn't even expected to be a Kickoff Specialist,  isn't an efficient way of running a draft.

He wasnt expected to go in the 3rd. We picked him in the 3rd and everyone freaked out.

You seriously act like people would of been dissapointed if someone else picked him. I guarantee you outside of Cal fans, 90% of people had no clue who Anger was.

Defense made Carson Palmer look like Payton Manning.

Please oh please find me one mock draft from ANYONE ON THE PLANET that had a punter going in the 3rd round. No punter should ever even be drafted. Take a flyer on ANYONE AT ANY OTHER POSITION over a punter. You can find them all over the place (just don't sign Turk).

You are probably the same person who takes a kicker in the 6th round of fantasy football because "they are a starter." Just dumb.

These are the same people that love the Anger pick... yet complain about o-line depth.

Quote:Just curious. What is it like to smoke crack?
Oh it's fantastic! It gives me that extra little pep that I need during the day.

I usually smoke my crack with a side of red wine and a nice ahi tuna steak. Preferably with a side salad as well, always with a light bleu cheese.

You should come over to my place sometime and I could introduce you to the lovely world of crack smoking!
