I Was Laughed At When I Said We Should Give Scott A Chance..

Quote:Gabbert didn't outplay anybody in the preseason, his only good game was a ton of WR screen/PA Bootleg passes to the flat that had good YAC. Henne wasn't anything special either.

OTA's, training camp. Scott showed nothing. It was surprising he even made the practice squad.

How many consecutive weeks in TC was the "Play of the day" a Blaine Gabbert thrown INT. Once again, Scott was not given a shot with the 1's, except for Blackmon in preseason who dropped multiple passes from Scott.

Scott may not have shown a lot, but he wasn't given a shot too in TC and in preseason he played with bums.

Quote:Actually it was usually a defensive back dropping Matt Scott's passes.

Or catching them. Some of those too.

Why don't you stop hating on a guy who was surrounded with 3rd/4th stringers in the preseason. You have no clue how he would look with the starting offense.

Scott was among the worst passers in this past preseason, Tebow was more productive than him, thats not a good sign.

And he was playing against bums and looked terrible.

To be honest at least Scott would be bad from being a raw rookie. He would have a chance to develope and has shown to be willing to throw the ball in the intermediate range.

He would have some excuse for INTs being a rook but somehow i dont think we'd see the shameful self sacks we've seen from Gabbert. Give him a chance with the 1s in practice and let him start 2 weeks. Next 2 weeks do the same for Stanzi. One week to get your feet wet and then the next to try and refine it.

Stanzi isn't even on the roster
