You're on a slippery slope, my friend. Today paper towels, tomorrow mattress tags.

Not only living on the edge, but luckier than a dung beetle at the zoo.  I’d get some lotto tickets.  Even pulling at the corners, my wet hands tend to comprise the tensile strength of the paper so that I’m left holding two corners of the paper.  If you wear work pants, whatever theyre called (dress pants?), Haha I’ll never know, I tend to do a single tap on my shorts first, followed by a quick 3-4 sheet pulls so I can dry my hands followed by a double pull and use those two sheets to open the door.

I'm a sheet for the door handle guy myself.

Waiting for the day they start putting two-way swinging doors in all the bathrooms.

This is right up my alley, but not enough info to really give an opinion on this.  If he’s hiring a new person each time, he may be one of those that just keeps hiring and never pays, then moves on to the next sucker.  He obviously doesn’t care about the lawn so much as he does the letter.  The company doing a piss poor job… half is their fault for taking the job on.
If I were approached with a lawn with a months worth of growth (whether it was a one time or not and assuming I was taking on clients) I’d request payment in full before we started as well as charge a premium to do it.  That lets me know their serious and paid.  If that happens, guess what? We knock that shot out and normally have neighbors come out and thank us or tell us how nice it is.  If they’re willing to pay the price for that visit, then maybe their willing to get on contract.  Also, there are very few companies I am aware of that I consider to be, for lack of other words, “legit” that don’t put mulch kits on their mowers.  It is possible, said company mowed it and used another mower without one for ease of cutting an overgrown lawn.  But he had the discharge chute facing your lawn.  Rookie mistake number 2.  My best guess is that your neighbor doesn’t pay these guys and looks for those that don’t know better.  Most established companies aren’t taking on many lawns, let alone what I assume the one next door looked like.  Plus, no reason for a business not to blow out the lawn of clippings are left, or go back over to mulch it up  especially the one they aren’t supposed to be at.  They may have quit caring halfway through just to get done.

I’d just be happy his lawn was finally cut. I have a house 2 doors down like that as well as an employee has a house diagonal from his that operates like that.  I’m sorry you have to be their neighbor

There’s only two places I know that have doors that swing outward to leave the restroom. (I don’t get out much).  I don’t mind opening the door going in.  However, I do feel my penis is probably cleaner than the handle.  So I don’t really wanna touch the door going in. If it swings out upon leaving, I normally attempt my best hook shot into the waste receptacle or I just kick it open.  Sometimes doors are lighter than expected, I may or may not have broken a guys nose that was attempting to rush into the bathroom to drop a deuce as I chick norrised the door open

August 16th 1977. Yeah, the world may remember this as the day Elvis died, but what I remember most is being with my Dad in the Governor Thomas Johnson High School parking lot practicing my parallel parking in a 1969 Chevrolet Impala in preparation on getting my drivers license. Now, for those of you not familiar with a 69 Impala, they were a TANK of a car. Not one of these small little death traps that people zing around in today. This thing had some steel to it. And it's a good thing I learned how to drive, and park a tank of a car because I took my final driving test in a 1965 Oldsmobile Delta 88, another tank of a car. Yeah, we had REAL BIG gas guzzlers back then, but then again, gas was only 68 cents a gallon so...... This was way before the OPEC oil embargo of 1979/1980. God we had some fun back in those days...... I miss my big cars.....

Opec(kers).  I did not now Elvis died on this date.  I do know it is Modonnas birthday.  I don’t really give a crap about her.  I think it’s cool that you remember the date your pops was teaching you to park.  That’s awesome.  I’ll now remember that 8/16 is the day Elvis died.  I’ll remember those dates because today is my dads 73rd bday.

Yeah, I remember it well as we had the AM radio playing and I remember the announcement on WFMD radio that Elvis had just died...... One of those things that kind of stick out in your memory for sure.......

I can believe that.  I’m sure that was shocking news back in the day.  Like remembering where you were during JFK’s assassination/ 9/11.  That kinda thing.  Not that Elvis dying is on the same level, but I get it. Plus fond memories with your dad is always a good thing.

I was walking down the sidewalk in my Kansas hometown with my friend Woody when a guy stepping out of the barbershop was talking over his shoulder to someone inside about Elvis dying. We didn't know if he was joking so we asked him if it was for real.

I assume he posted bail and you're out now?

That’s funny.  But We’re not roofers or construction workers. We’re a step below.  We’re lawn guys.  There is no bond.

Yeah, I went to TJ. Graduated in 1979. I'm still in Frederick (Fredneck as the old time locals call it) but I make the trip to Jacksonville every chance I get to see the Jags play. Now, if you're wondering HOW I became a Jags fan, that's easy...... I was living in Jax when they got the team. This was after the Colts left Baltimore in the middle of the damn night and BEFORE the Ravens (Old Cleveland Browns) moved in. I came back to Maryland before that and just stuck with the Jags. Yeah, I get grief from my Daughter and Son In Law because they just happen to live in PA and are Steelers fans but..... since I was hardly around when she was growing up (Her mother split on me and moved out of state) I didn't get the chance to raise her right...... (Then again, I was too much of a drunken [BLEEP] back then to care so... It's partly my fault too)

I basically lived my entire childhood in Frederick. Went to Ballenger ES and Ballenger MS.

First legal beer I had was at Wags.

I had a Jaguars starter jacket in 4th grade and I’ve been a fan ever since.

Small world man. Well if I ever see you out and about in Frederick (I live in Damascus but still head up there to see my folks), I’ll buy you a beer.

You can usually find me in the afternoons at Olde Towne Tavern... I'll be downing a SoCo and Ginger Ale. And I'm usually dressed all in black with either my Aussie Boonie Hat on or I'll be the only one with a Jags Hat on, Oh, and I always wear a Black Denim Jacket no matter the weather so I'm easy to spot..... especially since I walk with a cane now.......
