Plus some other ingredients to make it creamy and rich. I ate it for lunch until my stomach hurt. Then I did the same at dinner. She says there is a recipe, but she did a lot of substituting. We couldn't find any decent fish at Costco on Wednesday, so she substituted scallops. She cooked (braised?) all the uncooked seafood before she put it in the casserole. The scallops were cut into 4 pieces each, and the shrimp were cut into 3 pieces each. She used a container of crab meat that cost $35. There was about a pound of scallops which cost about $22. There was a lot of shrimp. She used mayonnaise to bind it all together. She said the recipe called for a cup of mayo but she says she just eyeballed it. She also put in rice, celery, pimientos, one whole diced onion, and she covered the top with crumbled Ritz crackers. She baked it in the oven at I think 325 or 350 for I think a half hour or 45 minutes maybe. She says the recipe calls for mushrooms, but she didn't use any. |
