Ode to "let's talk about" ll

Well my parents didn’t get a gift from my brother and his lesser half for Christmas. Dad doesn’t give a [BLEEP] but it hurt my moms feelings they didn’t do anything.

Turns out they did. My SIL bought a gift card, forwarded to my brother, not to his personal email, but to his military email. He never saw it and they never got their gift. He realizes his mistake after dad got onto him for hurting moms feelings. He finds it and forwards it. Except the military does whatever security [BLEEP] and won’t allow him to open it.

They resolve the issue. But who the hell emails a gift card for a present??? Every damn gift this SIL [BLEEP] sends is either a joke or takes too much time and effort to hunt down.

I’ll explain the joke part at least. Hopefully the pain in the [BLEEP] part has been explained. I send gifts to them. Meaningful gifts or if nothing else gift cards usually visa ones they can use anywhere in a denomination that should suit anyones needs.

Let’s back the train up on my past gifts from this [BLEEP]. Female dog that handles my brothers stuff To make it clear. I got a [BLEEP] pillow! A pillow that’s suited for a couch. A tiny one. One one side is a super close up of my face and the back, my brothers face. Thanks for the unwanted space in the trash bag, hope you two enjoyed the 250.00 gift card!

This year; I get a Batman v whoever the [BLEEP] it is Rock em sock em robots game. Way to go bro, you’re [BLEEP] [BLEEP] wife strikes
Again. She obviously doesn’t spin these ideas off you since you know I’m not into superheroes nor were we “rich” enough as kids to have that game. I hope you enjoy your 250 gift card this year as well.

Pisses me the [BLEEP] off. If it weren’t for the spirit of Christmas I’d send them kingsford. His [BLEEP] wife takes it a a joke, but I can guarantee you that her family is getting pampered.

My brother and sister in law used to give us all gift wrapped photos of them every year for Christmas. They gave them to everyone on this side of the family, meanwhile telling us about all the great gifts they gave her family. I would spend time and money picking out the perfect gifts for them and I got tired of it. One year I took my son to see Santa and had his pic made. Reused one of the cheap dollar store frames they had given us and wrapped it up as their Christmas gift that year. You know, we never got another gift wrapped picture of them again.  Big Grin

Stop spending time and effort on people not willing to do it for you.

I hear ya.  I really do.  Each year I say I won’t do it, then “it’s the season” I become the bigger man and send a decent gift.  I do have two nieces though.  And the oldest ones birthday just happens to be on… Christmas Day!  So it’s kinda tough. Next year just may be different.  I rarely hear from my bro unless he’s drunk and fed up with his wife.  To be fair, she’s a [BLEEP]. I hated her from day one.  My brother has come around on that.  Pretty sure he is sticking around with her until the kids are of age to only have to pay alimony to that non working jersey [BLEEP]. But I usually talk to my bro 3 times a year on the phone.  Christmas, maybe thanksgiving and on either one of our birthdays that fall 6 days apart.  Funny thing is, this year I sent a text wishing him and the girls(even that [BLEEP] wife of his) a merry Christmas.  Never got a return text; never got a phone call never got a “hey thanks for the money and sorry my wife bought you a gift to take straight to the “goodwill drop off”

I say I’m done (again). But I’m sure I’ll do it again next year.  I’m an [BLEEP], but family and my In people I have a soft spot for. Whatever, I guess

Feel free to send that gift card my way when the spirit of Christmas bites you in the [BLEEP]. Or anytime.  Big Grin

I never received that new jet ski either.  You'd better call the dealer.

PS.  Don't worry about shipping, I'll pick it up and save you the freight cost.

Well, I may actually be moving back. I'm thinking seriously about hanging up the cleats. I don't mind Texas at all, but two factors working against retiring here. My wife was never fully on board, and the property taxes out here are horrendous. I'm paying 500+ more a month just on property taxes.

I'm thinking it will be sooner than later.

Yep.  I'm currently at $7300 anually.  Texas is ridiculous.  And with all that money, the roads SUCK.  I want to know what the [BLEEP] they do with it.

We almost have it as bad back in Fl.  It’s 68 now.  I didn’t check the morning temp.  Hopefully the plants didn’t grow too much overnight.  I didn’t put a fan on them last night. Smile

Only 72 here now but predicted to hit 80 this afternoon.  Got the windows open but may switch to AC if it gets too warm.  Cool

We've had our AC on for the last week or so. Really weird to have it running in January. Today is a high of 67 then tomorrow is 54 but will feel like 46. I can't wait. Lol.

Hopefully the cold weather will kill all them damned rattlesnakes?? Us flArida boys pretty much killed them off with our firearms. Or, so I’m told. Either that or the snakes even thought it was too hot over here.
