You do realize the Pats rested 40 active roster players that night?
Okay, so I'll run with your narrative...Preseason exposed their defensive scheme and depth issues. Same thing exposed last night. Yaeah, yeah teams don't scheme, blah, blah.

For perspective...last night's game was only the 5th time in 18 years Belichick has coached the Pats that they surrendered 40+ points in a game.

The Jaguars have surrendered 40+ points a game twice a year between 2013-2015.

A Patriot homer buddy of mine just bet me $200 that Brady would be in top 2 in TD passes this year (after the game). Easy money. Easy money.

KC's defense came on well in the second half. Brady throwing under a 50% completion rate doesn't happen very often.

Kareem Hunt is the real deal.

Alex Smith played well above his "game manager" label.

I hope Tyreek Hill's injury isn't serious. I enjoy watching the south GA native turn on the jets. (and he's on my fantasy squad)

Weren't they saying same thing last year?

I think that was 2 years ago. Brady was on a year last year. It is interesting though. We'll see if it continues in the next few weeks. Brady might be pulling a Peyton where he was amazing one year then fell off the cliff.

He was over throwing a lot and got hit multiple times late. He won't be able to take hits like that this year.

After last nights game you may have made a bad bet. Brady's defense may force them into a lot of shootouts. Of course I see the other side also as the offense having limited weapons but then again the pats are known for making stars out of mediocre players.

I like my chances of 2 other guys throwing more TD's than Brady after what I saw last night, especially considering he has 0 through 1 game. I can never turn down taking a bet based on emotion. Just too easy.

I've been fed a lot of dinners on this very principle.

You can't prove a point with just numbers. So even then they mean nothing.

If Bortles has a game like Brady did last night there will be calls for Henne.

That's it, scientific research is a sham and math is useless. To think I was right all this time when I was cussing my professors under my breath.

Scientific research is not just numbers and has nothing to do with the first game in the 2017 season.

The only point to be made is New England was vastly overrated in preseason based on past success.

That is not the only point. Speaking in such absolutes is unwise. There are many points to be made based on the outcome of last night's game.  The pats being overrated is merely one of them, and they have 15 more games in which they may actually prove that to be incorrect.

I actually drafted him late pre Spencer Ware injury cause I thought he was gonna take over by mid season. Looks like I scored now.

As soon as I picked him, my best friend started cursing. He was 2 picks behind me and he was targeting Hunt. It made it all the more sweet when I landed him.  Big Grin

Another reason why FF is 90% luck, lol.

C'mon. That was pure skill. It has nothing to do with luck. I'm just that good. Wink
