Complaints about the handling of Westbrook injury

He could be back by week eight. That's fine with me. We still have Robinson, Lee, Hurns, Been and Cole. No need to panic or freak out. I still think they'll try to run this offense around Fournette and Ivory this year anyway. They ended up bringing in Pryor at Safety to add some depth for the meantime yesterday as well because of this move. Could work out big time in the long run.

The same could be said regarding a few other posters.

He was sent to a specialist and cleared to play.

How much more definitive can you get than the specialist saying you're ok? Why even have specialist if you don't follow their advice?

Besides, if the injury worsened in practice this week, playing him in that 3rd game probably accelerated it minimally. How was he going to make it through the whole season either way?

Those sports hernias become a matter of pain tolerance. They're not going to magically heal.quickly. It's possible he played the preseason game relatively pain free and then tweaked something that caused more pain that exceeded expectations. To blame a hernia on the coaching staff is just moronic.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I thought it was week 9.

At any rate, I noticed some fans are thinking the Jaguars may be planning to bring back Dede along with Rivera or another player already on IR. Just in case someone here is thinking this, that won't happen. Dede is the first player placed on IR who is eligible to return. The others were all placed on IR too early to qualify for the designation to return.

The rule states "after week 8" - so week 9 (bengals nov5th) would be the first game he could play.

Bob Sanders from Colts past or kind of like this Bob Sanders?

Knowing the Jaguars, more the latter.

Or the injury prone Bob Sanders who probably doesn't know his left hand from his right today because he lead tackles with his head?
