You abused a dismantled Texans o-line and think you are the AFCS favorites now? right after losing your best (read: only) WR?

Yeahhhhhhhhhh you guys are totally set...... I'm sure just stuffing the run and letting Bortles sling it all game wont be an easy game plan for EVERY team the rest of the year......

Let me guess: You are a Titans fan who joined the board to talk smack with us.

If you watched us play in 2015, you know Allen Hurns is a very good receiver. If you watched us play in 2016, you know Marqise Lee is not a bad receiver either when he is open and a pretty good kick returner as well. Oh, and if you watched your own team play against us, you know Lee also score by throwing on a trick play. He was our leading receiver last year and managed to stay healthy all season. As for Hurns, he went over 1,000 yards in 15 games two years ago as the starter opposite Allen Robinson. He struggled for the same reason Robinson did last year: Blake Bortles regressing as a passer.

Did you watch #27 on Sunday? 155 yards on 26 carries is not an accident. He earned it.
you can have as many below average receivers as you want, blake is still gonna miss them

You guys are full of confidence and why not. Remember though, the Titans OTs are a little different than what the Houston Cows have. One is an All Pro and the other went to the Pro Bowl. It will not be quite as easy this time around.

Interesting that you call the Texans the Cows instead of the common nickname Tinhorns.

The entire four years since Jack Del Rio was fired, most people who claimed to be Jaguars fans often acted like they aren't. There was little confidence even after wins because of the fact they were few and far between. So what you are seeing now is the effect of finally kicking off a regular season with a dominating win made possible by better coaching and a lot more talent to play with.

Marcus Mariota broke only one bone, but you are right about that video being brutal. Sheldon Day completely blindsided Mariota and it only looked bad when I saw the close-up view of Mariota's right foot. Titans fans probably will hate Day for a long time because they don't want to believe Tennessee would have lost the game anyway.

That's a nice run game you got but the Titans weakness is the pass defense. I am not really worried about Bortles and that bizarre assortment of losers he will be throwing to.

You got me with Walker, but Matthews? Come on now. Bortles didn't seem to have any trouble exposing that secondary last time we played. Hell even Lee threw a TD pass on you.

Matthews better than you think.

And we have two new starters at CB

Not really, most of us are pretty realistic actually. I have known the past couple years that the Tarp Kitties could be dangerous if they bothered to start trying.

You are kidding yourself though if you think that Cows team you saw this past Sunday is indicative of what they were last season. Whether the Harvey stuff was a big distraction or they are just not good anymore. Which happens in the NFL.

We have learned not to read too much into a first week victory. In 2014 and 2015 we started the year with "Dominant" win. Only to end up being the worst team in the league each of those two years.

LOL. OK for one, this defense is a much, much different unit than being shown here. Half the dudes chasing him in this gif are off the roster or role players at best. I hope you don't honestly expect Tennessee to come in to Jacksonville and get a blowout W. This isn't Gus's Jags anymore, if anything I would put a blowout win in favor of the Jaguars over the Titans and that's being blatantly honest. Tennessee does not have nearly as good a front 7 as Houston either, so expect that guy with the 27 jersey to have a bit more production against a lesser front. I expect as Bortles gets a bit more comfy and confident again in this system the training wheels will slowly come off. I don't see a Titans win unless we lay an egg or key starter gets hurt.

I am waiting for your response to Leonard Fournette's statistics.

Half (at least) of the O-line blocking on that play have been upgraded as well as those receivers blocking downfield.  We're a much better team now than we were then.

One win and you guys get all froggy and confident.  I admire your optimism...really I do.

One game does not make a trend, dear.  If he's rushing at the same pace, say 6 games into the season, then we'll acknowledge his awesomeness.

he had 100 yards! jesus you can tell you guys havent had good players in a while. running backs are supposed to do that on good days. he got exactly 100, not 170+. 3.8ypc is BELOW where you want your RBs to be. with such a "blowout win" on "the back of fournette" he didnt really have to do very much. texans gave you guys the game in turnovers and had tissue paper at LT

y'all need to chill

well we did manage to put up more rushing yards against the Texans than your great run game was able to in either game last year.
Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17
2016 draft players I think will be good
  • On the Fournette train, will be best back of his class 3/6/17
  • Lattimore please,  Lockdowns on both sides would be nice

Actually I was exaggerating with the 155. Of course I know it was only 100. Big Grin But what makes you think Fournette did not have to do much? We are not known for being great run blockers. Fournette is obviously an upgrade over Yeldon between the tackles.
