What I'm seeing around the web is that they want to develop his lower body strength and use him at center. 

He did not win a guard spot and got beat on ST for a blocked kick. 

Maybe Cough-Well knew what they were doing passing on him for Smoot.   Jury's still out.
(My guard pick was Dawkins in the second BTW - but I did think Feeney made more sense than Smoot in the third. Maybe not)

I wasn't a huge Feeney fan (that anti Indiana bias), but I figured he'd be good value in the 3rd, especially given our needs.

What is this about anti-Indiana bias?

When we drafted Cam Robinson he was compared to Erick Flowers. I thought Forrest Lamp better not be as good because he was available at #34.
