They're going to continue to howl and complain because in most instances, these high browed folks live in cities/states that have income taxes that they used to be able to write off on their federal taxes.  They're already suing to get the deduction back because they want the rest of the country to continue subsidizing their state/local taxes...

Interesting that you mentioned that.  I heard even things like Booster contributions (e.g. Bull Gator) were tax deductible so people were complaining that their high priced season tickets (which included a hefty bull gator fee) was no longer tax deductible.  I'm not certain if that is true or to what extent it may be true but that's totally crazy to think tax payers are paying for some dude to sit at the 50 yard line and chum up to the coaches during their wine & dine functions.

oh well, i'm sure the abuse outside of this is 100x worse but this one hit close to home so I just thought i'd cite that as an example.
