***Official Houston Texans at Denver Broncos Game Day Thread***

Quote:This is awful. #Texans RT Derek Newton has torn both patella tendons, @MikeGarafolo & I report, and there is more damage. As bad as can be.]

Think it implies arterial damage possibly.

Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo (Broncos beat reporter) said the recovery will be "very long and difficult." I assumed that is because they have to work on one knee at a time, but apparently he will need more than two surgeries.

It is crazy we are talking more about one player getting hurt in the freakiest way possible instead of all the ways Brock Osweiler showed his old fans why he is not a Bronco anymore. He sucks.

Quote:Watch the replay. Von Miller got to Derek Newton a couple seconds too late only because Newton's legs did not plant on the grass.

I did. He didn't slip.

The Texans are going to regret overpaying Brock Oswelier pretty soon. He threw ducks, overshot receivers by a mile, can't get teammates on the same page, and was even unable to control the ball on one play in the fourth quarter. Fans booed him for choosing money over team but they saw why John Elway and Gary Kubiak wanted Trevor Siemian instead.

Jag fans criticizing somebody else QB is classic.

Brock Oswelier priced himself off the Denver Broncos roster.   If his salary demands were along the lines of what John Elway and Gary Kubiak thought he was worth,   he very likely would have opened the 2016 as the Broncos starting QB.

That is why Broncos fans booed him when he came onto the field for the first snap.

One fan made a sign asking if Brock Osweiler is worth $72 million. Rhetorical question, of course.
