TE Martellus Bennett

I've always liked him.

The Pats just cut him so he's a street free agent and can be signed anytime.

Martellus is now 31, and his most recent contract was paying him about $7m average per year. If he's looking for the same type of money, I would opt for a younger move TE such as Trey Burton, who spotrac places a similar value.

I like too many in the draft to do something like this. Last year, maybe.

Sign me up for Trey Burton. Bennett is too much a knucklehead.

Bennett is a nightmare in the locker room. Hard pass. As knarnn said, give me button if we aren't going to draft one early.

No. Draft one.

Plus we sort of have the stop gap in place that is barely touching the cap with Lewis. If you going to bring something in, bring something in you are going to groom for the future with the draft.

A 31 y/o that could cost 7 mil just doesn't seem like a good move.

I'd be ok with him. But I'm not a "money" guy.

No! Years ago he what is a decent weapon for a Cutler. But he is so slow and lethargic now. The Black Unicorn is looking more like the Black Walrus.

That dude is the biggest rip off artist in the NFL. It's like he excels during contract years and then fakes some type of injury once he gets paid.
