Maybe unexpected to you. This team literally has one starting position "open", which is SLB. They can draft anyone. They'll go BAP for need. Is RG upgradable? Yeah probably, but it's no guarantee that a rookie will beat out Cann who is heading into a contract year where oh by the way players seem to have fantastic years. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Cann have a great year. As for TE, a rookie TE#2 will have so little impact. Max maybe a year similar to Everett. The FO positioned themselves that they can do whatever they please with the picks. If they see a player dropping to the later picks that isn't a position of need but represents great value, they can take him.
